We had a very open and honest conversation with former Oklahoma State Cowboys RB about his dismissal from the program, what happened after that and how he's learned from it. Sims is currently on the staff at North Texas and has come a long way from his time in Stillwater. He was a pleasure to speak with. Enjoy! 

In this week's podcast, we have very exciting news for Heartland College Sports that should change the future direction of the website for the best. Also, we recap a fun NCAA Tournament and what it all means for the Big 12 conference. And with the Texas Tech Red Raiders' off-field issues, where does Kliff Kingsbury go from here? 

It was great to chat with Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle Du'vonta Lampkin about his preparations for the upcoming NFL Draft, the most misunderstood thing about Baker Mayfield, how he handled the surprising Bob Stoops resignation last year, and going back to high school, his really interesting recruitment that came down to Oklahoma and Texas. 

After placing three teams in the Elite 8, I discuss what this means for the Big 12 on the national stage and how the credibility has officially been brought back to the conference. Plus, with one team left, the Kansas Jayhawks, I give you my Final Four prediction. 

It was fantastic to catch up with Iowa State Cyclones linebacker Joel Lanning and look back on an outstanding career in Ames and discuss his preparations for the upcoming NFL Draft. Lanning addresses his move from quarterback to linebacker last offseason, the excitement of the 2017 season and what else his future might have in store. Enjoy!

I had a really insightful discussion with former West Virginia Mountaineers running back Dreamius Smith. Smith was open in discussing some of his struggles during his time in Morgantown, but also talked about many of his good memories with the Mountaineers. Smith also discussed what it's been like being a part of the Steelers and Patriots organization and what he's hoping to improve on this offseason. And when Dreamius Smith is done with football, what's on his agenda?
