All of us have moments when we feel like a victim. A part of us finds some relief or validation in identifying this way. Today I’m sharing with you a little more info about victim mentality so that you can take a look at yourself and see if you live in this neighborhood at times, or better understand the person in your life who feels this way. Of course I’ll be giving you suggestions about what to do in either case as well. CLICK HERE to join the Be Bold Membership CLICK HERE to access Paula Durlofsky’s article on Victim Mentality

Ep 69. Clean Parenting Part 2: When Your Child Feels Bad | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 24:38

Our children are here on earth to experience an entire range of emotions and as parents it can be heartbreaking to watch. But for your child (and for yourself) resisting emotion actually feels much worse than just allowing and processing it. Most of us were taught to resist it as children and when we try to talk our kids out of feeling bad we’re passing on that same harmful message. Today I’m teaching you how to help them process it at any age in the hopes you will give your children this gift. Don’t forget to download the cheat sheet that goes with it for when this situation faces you next. CLICK HERE to register for the FREE virtual entrepreneurial conference

Clean parenting is how you get rid of the dirty pain that is keeping you from showing up how you really want to for your family.  Ep 66. Politics and Energy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 28:42

Our energy is like time or money in that it is in limited supply at any given time and it’s something I want you to consider using wisely and investing to get a return on when you can. Many of us don’t pay attention to where we are putting our energy and this lack of intention will not always create the life and feelings you want to have. Today I’m giving you some examples of how to think about where you’re spending your energy and where you can invest it to get a return. Then I’m talking to you about politics which by definition is our shared common experience. That’s important and sacred and amazing and I want to offer to you that you can view it that way and help contribute effectively to it if you use your energy the right way.  Ep 65. Turning Points | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:45

We all have interactions and events in our lives that help mold and shape us in profound ways. Sometimes they affect us in positive, empowering ways and sometimes they impact us negatively and keep us from progressing and feeling confident about ourselves and our world. I call these turning points. Turning points usually have a significant amount of emotion attached and cause us to realize that something we thought was true isn’t or to consider something we never had before. They are powerful and happen to all of us. Today I want you to reflect on some of them to better understand yourself and also to consider your role in other people’s lives. As adults we create turning points for our children, people we lead at church or at work and other people in our daily interactions. Be thoughtful about how you handle challenges and what you say to others and you can create a lot of positive turning points for others.
