 The Omen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:03:58

It was this movie - 1976's The Omen - that brought him out of TV directing and into a wildly successful career in feature films. A solid entry into the "satanic cult craze" of late 70's horror (which started with The Exorcist), it features a practically-out-of-retirement Gregory Peck as the stepfather of the antichrist.

 The Exorcist 3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:03

The Exorcist 3 is a weird an uneven and (as usual) plagued by studio interference. But it IS the source to one of the single-most-notoriously-effective jump scares in horror cinema. And yes, we talked about that too. Thanks to Adam for the request!

One Cut of the Dead | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:45:38

In fact, this is another one of those weeks where we suggest that ALL of our fans go out and see this film before listening to the episode. Its charms - and there are many - will be best experienced if you don't go into it knowing much about it, much less a play-by-play of the plot. You've come this far with us. You can trust us. This is worth your time.

Slumber Party Massacre | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:40:59

Well, thanks to listener request, we finally found an excuse to check out the Driller Killer in all his phallic, penetrative action. Hard to believe this is the first in a series of three Roger Corman-produced slumber party massacres. And a remake is in the works!

 Ghostwatch | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:54:25

Thus began the tantalizing meme that led us to this week's episode, reviewing the horror mockumentary, Ghostwatch. We think many people who grew up during the early 90's in Britain have strong memories of this one, as evidenced by the commentary on our Facebook feed when I proposed this episode. And good news: You can watch this one online in all its glory at the Internet Archive.

 Rosemary's Baby | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:00

To celebrate Mother's Day, this year we're examining a classic of the "motherhood gone horribly wrong" genre: Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby". If you have yet to see this film, we highly recommend you watch it BEFORE you listen to us talk about it. It's that good.

 Candyman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:04:01

Now that Jordan Peele has completed filming and will be releasing a new version, we felt it was time to finally tackle this iconic horror franchise. We couldn't believe how well this 1992 film held up.

Mom and Dad | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:54:32

Then belly up to this jet-black comedy that makes fun of those moments when parents just want to murder their kids. Listen to this week's episode to learn why we were not as thrilled with it as everyone else seemed to be. Maybe we're just not old enough to understand?

 The Mutilator | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:28

Whatever "fall break" is, it's the sunny original title of the forgettable-but-memorable 80's slasher "The Mutilator" that everyone has already forgotten about. You love those "so bad it's good" movies? Look no further. We got exactly what we were looking for with this one, with a catchy theme song thrown in. Some films just go the extra mile.

 The Woman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:05

This week we tackle a difficult-to-watch request from another loyal listener. Right in line with Lucky McKee's incredibly female-centric filmography, The Woman is an uncomfortable watch that gave us a lot to discuss and consider.

 Dreamscape | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:58

It's hard to believe this swashbuckling tale of intrigue, political thriller, horror and sci-fi seems to have been lost to time, especially considering it stars a young Dennis Quaid, Kate Capshaw, Max Von Sydow, and Christopher Plummer - to whom we are paying tribute this week. Listen in to see if this rings any bells.

 Cursed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:02

In this case, we identified as many charms as flaws in 2005's Cursed - a movie with a production history that lives up to its title. Hear more inside. And thank you, dear listeners, for 250 solid episodes of support! Let's raise a bloody glass to 250 more.

 Wishmaster | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:58:28

This Wes Craven-produced short franchise is a special-effects extravaganza with a fun villain and an interesting premise: What would happen if you awakened a modern-day genie who wasn't so blue and friendly?

 Blacula | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:10

Directed by a William Crain, a black director, and helmed by the Shakespearean actor William Marshall, Blacula is essentially your standard Dracula story transported to an urban setting. And it's not nearly as bad as its goofy title would lead you to think.

My Bloody Valentine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:33

February 14th is coming, and that means curling up with a loved one to watch a group of miners and their girlfriends get pickaxed to bits by a crazed killer in retaliation for an incident that happened on Valentine's Day 20 years ago. Or at least, that's how WE celebrate the holiday. How about you?
