In this special episode, I chat with my friend and fellow mompreneur, Cathy Olson, who runs Love Inspired. We discuss her business, which is the perfect mix of beauty and brains, where website and graphic design goes beyond something pretty into something smart, strategic, authentic, and message based. She shares some of her brand’s greatest strengths, as well as a marketing campaign tactic that didn’t quite work out, but how to turn failure into success. Cathy shares lots of advice, from the types of marketing ads that are growing, when to hire outside contractors, and how to ask for help when needed. Just because we mompreneurs may look like superheroes, we still need a sidekick or two.

In this Special Edition Flourish episode I interview my friend and fellow mompreneur, Heather Crabtree. We discuss her Savvy Business Owners Group, why marketing campaigns can fail and what to learn from it, as well as her brand's greatest strength. She also shares a great tip about graphics for beginners. We end our interview with some advice for fellow mompreneurs just starting off on this wild and rewarding journey.

In this episode, I break down one of my favorite tools that has helped me manifest my biggest life and business dreams - a Vision Board! A vision board is the opportunity to put out your dreams to the universe in a fun, visual, and physical manner. I go through the key questions you should ask yourself during this process, such as What type of person do you want to be in the future? What does a day in the life of that person look like? I also share details about my previous vision boards and how the quote “make your visions so clear that your fears become irrelevant” has become my guiding mantra for the coming year. This special Saturday episode gives you an inside look at my Christmas List, resolutions for the new year and reflections on the past year - what went well or not so well. I have just returned from an amazing retreat in Los Angeles for Amber Lilyestrom's mastermind with Lewis Howes as a featured guest. While the trip is still fresh in my mind, I wanted to share with you all my biggest takeaways from the retreat and how they are impacting my year to come. Then Amber advises how to select the right conference for your needs. First, do your research by finding testimonials and discover what the price of the conference includes. To save money, Amber suggests finding a roommate to offset the cost of your hotel room and have a pajama party. Also, will your experience bring a return on investment and will there be a whole lot to do? For example, Amber wrote a sales page she could implement after the conference. In other words, identify core values to measure your success simply. Look at who you admire to glean insights from and identify things you want to bring into your success plan.
