The Happytime Murders | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:52

In this episode, Mike tells you why you shouldn't see a universally-panned movie that's been out of theaters for what seems like a month.  Mike reviews The Happytime Murders and tells you exactly where this movie slipped up. He also goes on a rant about the 2012 sci-fi piece of garbage Prometheus, with a bonus rant on what he'd do if encountered with a human version of the film. It's not pretty.

 The Nun | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:03

In this episode we go outside our usual comfort zone to take in a showing of the latest offering from the Conjuring Universe, The Nun. The trailer was pretty scary, but how does the movie stack up? We discuss the film's "plot." Or at least SOMEONE thought it was a plot.  We also go into the film's general lack of scariness.  Mike asks the question: what is a Duke?  We go over an advance seating controversy we witnessed at the showing we went to.  Finally, Mike puts on his old man hat to talk about how he narced on some kids sitting on the theater stairs.

Trailer Talk: Second Act | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:51

We swore this was supposed to be a quick episode talking about the trailer for Second Act, JLo's new movie Mike was offended by.  It proves to be anything about that.  This one's wide ranging. We discuss the trailer (Mike hated it, Elizabeth thought it looked lame) as well as JLo's career, how perfect her and A-Rod are for each other, the performance of Jamie Foxx in Django Unchained, and the emergency of "post-comedy comedy" and why Mike has a problem with that.  We told you. It's wide ranging. This one's a great listen for true super fans of the show.

 Peppermint | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:37

For frequent listeners of our podcast you know how much we enjoy a good, dumb action movie. Peppermint has been on our radar for awhile as one we're particularly looking forward to.  So how did it stack up?  In this episode we review Jennifer Garner's take on the revenge action genre. Plus we reviewa pretty misguided trailer for Instant Family that kinda sorta compares adopting a foster kid to picking out a puppy.

 Searching | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:57

In today's episode we talk about Searching, a thriller that takes place 100% on a computer screen. When you think about it, it's the perfect movie for those idiots who always check their phones at the movies. Why bother checking your phone? You're already looking at a screen!

Trailer Talk: What Men Want | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:18

We're back with another episode of Trailer Talk! In this ep we review the trailer for What Men Want, the comedy starring podcast favorite Taraji P. Henson. Our discussion also turns to the 2009 Karate Kid remake.

 Operation Finale | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:11

Fresh off our guest spot on The Black Guy Who Tips podcast (thanks again Rod and Karen!) we're back with a brand new episode where we review the new historical drama Operation Finale. This one features a lot of history talk centering around the Holocaust, which is always a cheery time for everyone.

 Blackkklansman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:44

Mike is back for a solo episode reviewing Blackkklansman. In this episode he reviews the movie, a horror movie trailer he may have dreamt he saw, and a couple of talking moviegoers he had no way to shush.

 Mile 22 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:55

In this episode we review Mile 22, which was certainly a movie. We review Ronda Rousey's performance, talk about the weird ending, and do a deep dive into the new character Mark Wahlberg loves to play where he talks down to people even though he seems dumb - a character we like to call "Condescending Wahlberg."

Cowboy Bepop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:31

And now, for something completely different: in this episode, we review the Fathom Event we recently attended: a screening of Cowboy Bepop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door. It was a show turned into a movie Elizabeth used to like and she convinced Mike to see it. It being his first anime he'd ever seen, he was intrigued.

Crazy Rich Asians | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:35

In our latest episode we review the smash hit Crazy Rich Asians. We give our review of the movie, get into an argument over whether or not the family's dad should have shown up, and talk about a really sad moviegoer who sat behind us and cried through a disturbingly long amount of the movie.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:37

Mike and Elizabeth Went! To the Movies and saw Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.  In this episode we review the very funny Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.  In Trailer Talk we discuss the trailers for Smallfoot and the sequel to the Lego Movie.  We also get in a lengthy argument about the first time MoviePass failed us (or, if you're asking Elizabeth, the first time Mike failed MoviePass). It's a wide-ranging episode, folks.  P.S. While you're here, sign up for our weekly e-mail Popcorn for Dinner. If you thought listening to us talk was fun, wait 'til you read what we type. You're doing it right now and admit it. It's fun.

Trailer Talk: The Nun | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:18

In today's mini-episode of Trailer Talk, we revisit The spooky trailer from The Nun. Why, you ask? Because this trailer elicited a fairly unique...or maybe, not unique at all...reaction from one of the two members of the podcast when we saw it. Which member, you ask? First off, why are you asking so many questions? Secondly, you'll have to smash that download button to find out! Seriously, this whole preview is to entice you to download it. No way we'd give away the answer here.

 The Meg | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:25

What would happen if the script to Jaws huffed paint? You'd probably end up with The Meg. Check out our review of this mindless, late summer blockbuster. We definitely enjoyed the experience...but probably not the way the filmmakers intended.

Trailer Talk: Robin Hood | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:35

The only thing more fun than signing up for our new weekly email, Popcorn for Dinner? Listening to our latest episode of Trailer Talk! In this one we review the latest trailer for Robin Hood. We talk about the endless Robin Hood reboots as well as the idea of casinos existing in medieval times.
