The Rise of Kylo Ren is coming in December, a bit before The Rise of Skywalker. Hum... That got us thinking. In this video, we comment on the announcement of a Marvel comics series about Kylo Ren by Charles Soule. It's about time! Kylo deserves some attention and backstory. This is our panel Romance: Those Ships Also Belong in Star Wars presented at the Star Wars University at Celebration on April 14th 2019. In today's episode we look at the argument that having a romance somehow degrades female heroes or female main characters. Spoiler alert: we disagree. We discuss how a romantic arc with Kylo Ren would enhance Rey's story, and disagree with criticism that a romance would detract from her heroine's journey.
