Ivy Tech is preparing for its HLC Reaffirmation of Accreditation Visit. In this episode, Kara talks with Dr. Russ Baker and Dr. Rod Brown who serve as Peer Corps members for the Higher Learning Commission and go on visits just like the one Ivy Tech will experience in April.
Voices of Indianapolis Winter Commencement
The Student Success Commitments were endorsed by the Student Government Association President’s Council, Faculty Council, Executive Council, Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Services, and Vice Chancellors of Student Success, and now that they have been approved, the adoption and implementation of these commitments will require every faculty member, staff, and student to be exposed to the commitments on a regular basis.
On July 1, 2015, Ivy Tech welcomed its ninth President, Dr. Sue Ellspermann. President Ellspermann is also the first female President of Ivy Tech and I’m going to ask her to provide a brief intro and a little of her background.

The Commitments provide concrete examples of how we, as members of the College community, demonstrate our commitment to student success each and every day. The Commitments were developed with broad-based input and feedback from faculty, staff, and our Student Government Association leaders.
In this, our first episode that brings you live on location recording, you’ll hear directly from the students, faculty and staff who make this program so successful and get a chance to learn first hand about this program.
