He received his Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy from The College of Mount Saint Joseph and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee. Jason completed the sports residency program here at CCHMC from 2010-2011 and received his Sport Certified Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Jason has served on Evidence-Based Practice Teams, lectured regionally and nationally on a multitude of topics including the overhead athlete and concussion. For 6 years, he worked as a staff physical therapist for TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation in Houston, Texas, serving in leadership positions such as the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education and Senior Physical Therapist, creating vestibular and balance programs in sports concussion and military veterans. Michael specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion and in managing the recovery of amputees but is recognized for his expertise through the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist, with experience treating all types of neurological injuries. Michael is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he serves as Admissions Chair and primary faculty for neuroscience and neurological clinical management. He also owns an outpatient private practice in Houston, AMPT Rehab, where he performs clinical practice and research in patients with vestibular dysfunction and neurological deficits. Michael teaches entry level students and clinicians in the area of concussion and his portfolio of professional accolades includes various teaching and clinical awards with authorship or book chapters and numerous poster presentations and public speaking engagements. He lives in Houston, Texas with his beautiful wife who is a pediatric physical therapist. She has been working in the field of vestibular/balance rehabilitation, sports and orthopedics since 2000. This diversity in clinical experience makes her well suited to manage complex concussion / mild TBI population. She currently works in their post-deployment/mild TBI program (PREP) as well as an outpatient vestibular clinic. Dr. Skop serves as a consultant throughout the hospital system to assist with the management of "dizzy" clientele. She has successfully completed all 4 APTA sponsored vestibular clinical competencies and holds a leadership role within the APTA Neurology Section, Vestibular SIG. She is a nationally nominated member of the Vestibular Rehabilitation Clinical Practice Guideline task force. Dr. Herget is a Senior Physical Therapist, Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Clinical Instructor and Certified Emergency Medical Responder at the MGH Sports Medicine Center. She is a member of the New England Patriots Medical Staff and serves as the Concussion Rehabilitation Consultant to the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, New England Revolution, Home Base Program and the MGH Sports Concussion Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Psychology from Wheaton College in 2000, her Masters in Education degree from SUNY in 2005, her post baccalaureate pre-med certificate from Hunter College in 2006 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2009.Dr Herget’s practice includes rehabilitating athletes who have sustained a sports concussion, most specifically evaluating and treating high school through professional level athletes with concussions and assisting in their safe return to play. She currently serves as Director of the Sports Concussion Center at Baylor Scott & White’s Sports Therapy and Research (ST&R) located at The Star in Frisco, TX, slated to open in April 2018. She is an Adjunct Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Texas A&M University. Prior to this position, Dr. Reynolds served as Fellowship Director for the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and held an appointment as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. The UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program is the largest clinical and research sports concussion program in the country. Dr. Reynolds holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a Master’s and Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from William James College in Boston, MA. She completed an APA-accredited internship in neuropsychology, as well as a two-year, APA-accredited postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology at the Bedford Veteran’s Administration Medical Center (Bedford VAMC) in Bedford, Massachusetts. Following this, she completed a specialized advanced fellowship in sports neuropsychology with an emphasis on sport-related concussion at the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program. Dr. Caralyn Baxter is a physical therapist for US Ski and Snowboard team. She is based out of Park City, UT and spends roughly a third of the year traveling with the US Freeski Halfpipe team to domestic and international competitions. Most recently, Dr. Baxter wrapped up a trip to XGames 2018 in Aspen, CO, and will be traveling to PyeongChang, South Korea next week for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Dr. Baxter completed Evidence in Motion’s year-long concussion management certification in 2016. Following this program, Dr. Baxter partnered with Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher and implemented the first sports neurology pre-participation exams for the US Freeski Halfpipe Team. This practice will go company-wide for the 2018-19 season.
