I've known Lourdes since our days at DePaul. It was great to sit down and talk about the business of journalism with her. She's kind, hard-working, and extremely talented. We talked about growing up Cuban in Puerto Rico, why she loves traveling, and how she deals with the hardest stories to cover. 

The Bears mauled the Bills. There are some nuggets from the game, but I want to talk about the fact that the Bears are 5-3 and what that means. So that's our breakdown this week. 

What's it like when you have your dream job and lose it? It's no secret that Siera is one of my favorite people in this business. She's a fighter and a survivor. We talked about her new gig at Fox 32, her historic trip to Cuba, and her battle against Depression. 

It wasn't pretty, but the Bears did their job on Sunday. Here's what I thought about what I saw. 

A Sports Radio "OG," George Ofman was doing sports on the radio before it was a genre. He's seen it all! We talked about the early days of The Score, what it was like to cover Jordan, and the broadcasting pioneers that inspired him. We also talked about wine and one of our favorite subjects: Doug Buffone. 

There was a lot not to like about this game. Here's my initial reaction to the loss and answering your questions about what happened.

You're not going to find anyone in our business who's more genuine, kind, and hard-working as Kelly Crull. This was a fun chat that went longer than we both expected. Kelly now has a new gig at NBC Sports Chicago, covering the Bulls. We talked about that, locker room/clubhouse etiquette and how she's driven to improve upon herself: professionally, spiritually, and personally. You're also going to find out why you want her on your bowling team.

I can understand why a lot of Bears fans feel like this was an infuriating loss, but there were some things that I think you should be happy about. Here's my breakdown of an entertaining, but SLOPPY loss in Miami.

He's one of the best Bears reporters in the business. I loved talking with WGN Radio's, Adam Hoge about what it's like to cover the NFL. We also got into his decision to leave The Score to go to The Game and what it was like for him when The Game folded. Not gonna lie, he's one of my favorites. That will come through in the conversation.

For almost 40 years, Jim Rose has been at Channel 7. It's weird, his name came up in the episode with Michael Kim, so I thought it would be a good idea to talk about Jim's career. It's a quick interview, but it's really good. Jim Rose was synonymous with the Jordan Bulls and we talked about that. Also, in this episode, I share, why I'm taking a much needed break... 

Mitch Trubisky balled out. There's not a lot to say about this game, yet a ton to say...

Hockey is the hardest sport to do play-by-play for. I'm fascinated by the guys that do it. Chicago is lucky to two great play-by-play men, but doing it on radio is more difficult. I love John Wiedeman's call and this conversation went in directions I wasn't expecting. He's terrific. 

The Bears are in first place in the NFC North, but does it feel like it? We'll explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of the win out in the desert, with particular attention to the play of the Mitch Trubisky.

This was a lot of fun. The people have been asking for Charles on the podcast. This is a combo interview. The first part was supposed to air on the Score, but the Cubs schedule made me condense it. So here's the WHOLE thing! Eventually, Charles starts interviewing me (He's pretty good at it). 

The Bears won, but there were some ugly moments by the offense. Mitchell Trubisky struggled, but the defense kept Russell Wilson on the run. Here's my breakdown of the game and what was going on at NBC Sports Chicago studios.
