The most underrated NHLers of all-time is our focus in this episode, along with news from around the league. 

We grade all NHL teams on their first half of the season. Using pre-season expectations (and whether those expectations have been met or not), where teams sit offensively, defensively, and special teams, all play a part in our grades.  We also talk about potential trade partners for the New York Islanders blueline that has been decimated by injury, and if any teams sitting outside the playoff race can get back into it.

The second half of the NHL season officially begins as we talk trades, playoff predictions, and why it feels right when the Washington Capitals are atop the Metropolitan division (for the regular season...).

The goal for every team across the NHL is to find consistent success. A Stanley Cup every year isn't possible, and while that is always the goal, sustained playoff runs is the realistic benchmark. However, some teams are just the opposite. The Buffalo Sabres and the Arizona Coyotes have missed the playoffs six and five years in a row respectively. We take over each of these teams and make the changes we believe necessary to find success.

NHL All-Star voting starts on Saturday, December 2 and we are already ready with our picks for who should represent their teams in the 2018 NHL All-Star game in Tampa Bay. 

At this point in the season, it's time to throw out all the pre-conceived notions about the way we thought the season would play out. Gone are the days of the Edmonton Oilers being in the top 5 of most people's lists, and with that said, this week's episode we'll rank the top 15 teams in the NHL. 

American Thanksgiving is the sweet spot of the NHL season where we get a good picture as to how the remaining 60 games will pan out. Of course some unexpected turn of events can occur, but a high percentage of the teams in the playoffs now, will be there when the dust settles. With that in mind, we give our quarter mark awards and we'll break down the rest of the news coming out of the NHL the last week. 

Now that the Matt Duchene saga is over, we're already seeing teams make minors deals in preparation for what could be a pretty exciting December on the trade front. Injuries have forced teams to take a hard look at their franchise and decide if making a trade to keep them in the hunt is worth it.  Also, Anti Niemi is at it again.

The New York Rangers are hot, Montreal is scoring again, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have won four straight. There's still a few anomalies out there, but the Edmonton Oilers will figure out how to be better than the Vegas Golden Knights, right? We talk all this and everything else going on across the hockey landscape.
