 002. Peanut Butter Meets Jelly | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:41:10

Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday podcast! Kevin set the bar pretty high with episode 1 but Steve doesn’t only surpass that bar but he brings in visual aids to support his presentation of this week’s featured band. Does that help in a podcast? Probably not, but it will all make sense when you listen! Steve successfully uses this podcast platform to formally introduce this unique band to Kevin which in all likelihood couldn’t happen at this depth anywhere else. There are so many pieces and variations of this band that you can’t help but be interested. Come listen to a couple of songs, clips from other songs, and more which is all very necessary. Will Kevin know who the band is? Will he just get mad and yell about how much he hates this week's band? Come join us and find out what happens!  001. Deadbeat Godfather | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:34:41

Welcome to the very first episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! Buckle up and enjoy the ride! This is the first band to be listened to on the podcast with Kevin presenting. The guys talk about going from being able to sit around listening to music to forming the podcast and looking forward to the exciting opportunities to hang out and listen to music. Kevin makes a bold prediction that he will have a tough time knowing what bands Steve is going to pick due to the large amount of music he listens to. Steve admits that is probably true and exposes his dedication to the BMG Music Club by subscribing and actually paying for the subscription. Are Genre titles getting out of hand? With Kevin being more of a “metalhead” and Steve being into punk rock there are too many sub genres in between those two styles of music, one could get confused and lose his mind. Where does today’s band fall? Will Steve guess who the band is? Will he like the songs? Listen in as they discuss! As always, below are the links to the band that is being featured on this episode.  000. There's a Twist! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:03:55

Welcome to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! Meet Steve Schenk and Kevin Olsen, two guys who grew up in the same era of music in different parts of the country who love music. There will be plenty of music discussion, reviews, and stories shared on this podcast, thank you for joining them on this journey! This is a short introduction episode where Steve and Kevin explain how the show will work, where they not only want to discuss and review a band that they either grew up listening to or recently discovered, they want to do it in a way that makes it fun for them and the listener. The music is picked before hand without the other host knowing who the band is (unless they can figure it out) and from there the song will be given a true listen without any preconceived notions of what you think of the band. To sum up musical tastes perfectly Kevin makes the analogy that Steve grew up on the Warped Tour side while Kevin grew up on the Ozzfest side of things. Although there is a lot of bands that they will meet in the middle on, there are bands that they might not agree on or may have never even heard of. Although not podcast professionals, both Steve and Kevin couldn’t be more excited about this show and hope you enjoy it as well. Please reach out for any further discussion, band recommendations, or comments!
