Mortal Kombat, a franchise that always seems to be in the middle of a controversy, is back in the limelight again over excessivemicrotransactions and an ending cinematic for Jax that some fans are pretty sour on. We get Persona 5 DLC news and another spinoff in the form of a musou style game for both PS4 and Switch, Shuntaro Furukawa denies any new Switch version for E3 and Tim Sweeny, CEO of Epic Games takes some shots at the Steam Store.

On this week's episode, Microsoft announces heir saddest console ever, Capcom announces a logo shaped fight stick, Philip Miucin finally releases his apology video and Wired sits down with Mark Cerny for some hot PS5 talk. 8K, 3D spacial sound and ray tracing! In the news, a new Star Wars game, the Fallen Order is announced from Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, Dragon Age 4, a wholly single player game is reported to have microtransactions, PubG gets banned in Nepal and finally, finally you can change your PSN username... but we wouldn't recommend it. Also, we've get a Star Wars Episode IX trailer, Jim Carrey comments on the Sonic movie and we get news of the Disney Plus streaming network. All this and more on episode 160 of Rated G for Gamers.

Prince Harry calls to ban Fortnite because it's highly addictive, IGN fools folks with a hilarious April Fool's prank, we get some insight on why Anthem had a failed launch and Mike Tyson thinks he has a new boxing game. James Gunn gets reinstated as director of Guardians 3, a newly surfaced gray NWC cart sells for $23,000 and Hollow Knight gets a physical release all at the top of the show. Dan's got some issues with the upcoming Resident Evil Origins collection for the Nintendo Switch. The Switch Tax is real folks and the duo discusses. In the news, Nintendo announces Pokémon Sword and Shield for the Switch, Gearbox Studios was almost pegged to develop Halo 4, Overkill's The Walking Dead gets cancelled for consoles and Cyberpunk 2077 gets confirmed for E3 this year. This week Reggie Fils-Amie, president of Nintendo of America, announced his retirement this past week. We discuss his legacy and his replacement, Doug Bowser. Also in the news, Google is slated to unveil their entrance into gaming at this years GDC, Microsoft is rumored to announce multiple new consoles at E3 as well as Halo Infinite possibly being a launch title and Deadmau5 gets himself into hot water playing PubG on Twitch for saying some derogatory comments to an opponent.

Dan and Dave are back at it again. At the top of the show, Marvel, Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark, Nintendo Online's classic game offerings and how did the term MetroidVania get coined? In the news, Apex Legends drops out of the blue from Respawn Entertainment, they state Titanfall is NOT in the works, Nintendo drops huge news in their latest direct and a very special copy of Super Mario Bros. fetches over $100 grand at auction. Nintendo rumors abound over the new Mini Switch and a new Nintendo online service for more hardcore gamers. Dr. Mario World announced for their mobile lineup, EA gets blocked by the Belgium government over lootboxes and Sony shifts focus of first party development to the PS5. Dan and Dave have an incredible pickup week, Dave beats Red Dead 2 and they both the have a chuckle over Bethesda's disastrous Fallout 76 leather jacket for sale.

Big news dropped from Nintendo this week. After only a screenshot of the logo back from E3 2017, Nintendo announces that it will be throwing out work done on Metroid Prime 4 and bringing back Retro Studios back into the fold. Alos, rumors of a Metroid Prime Trilogy remake emerge, Google wants to get into the home console game and Betheseda denies Fallout 76 free-to-play rumors. We've got two review round-ups this week, Kingdom Hearts III and Resident Evil 2 remake.

We got hot movie/tv/marvel universe talk at the top of the show.
