I have been reading a lot about gut health, and gut feelings, and am intrigued. Do you believe that our gut truly affects our mood, and how does this work?   -Liz in Cooperstown Q2 - 7:27  I am a recovering sugar addict, and a mom of one. I want to know how to curb my sugar cravings and eat healthier in general! BUT, I get hung up on the fact that I have Oral Allergy Syndrome which causes my body to be oversensitive to the pollen in most fresh fruits and veggies. I get an allergic reaction including throat and tongue swelling. Common foods I cant have are apples, bananas, pears, peaches, plums, carrots, green beans, and celery. Help!!! -Mira. (Sounds like Mee-ruh), Eau Claire, WI  Q3 - 11:32 I can NOT shake this funk I am feeling! I haven’t felt like myself in months. I am tired all the time, even though I am getting the same amount of sleep I’ve always got. I have been following your 80/20 principle and eating clean 80% of the time, and have even been keeping an eye on my gluten and dairy. I had my doctor run a panel and he said that everything looked completely normal. What could be wrong?  -Angel in Harrisonburg  Q4 - 14:14 I am trying so hard to get more sleep because everyone tells me how important it is when I am trying to lose weight, but I just can’t seem to make myself go to bed early! I try to get in bed around 9 and usually end up staring at my ceiling or my phone until atleast 11pm or almost midnight. Sleeping in is not an option for me, so I need to figure out how I can make myself go to bed earlier and sleep through the night. * Brenna in Massachusetts  Q5 - 16:28 I read online that being outside and getting sunlight will help with my gut health which I think is CRAZY! I have no idea how the two are connected, but I am wondering how I can implement this, how much time do I need to spend outside to enjoy the benefits of sunlight and fresh air, and do you have any tips to squeeze this into my day? * Michelle in Hampton Q6 - 19:11 I’ve recently been diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue, and I am trying to figure out how to get a handle on it the natural way. What are some foods that I should be focusing on eating, and what are the foods that I should be avoiding? Are there any natural supplements and vitamins that you recommend I take? * Holly in Atlanta  Q7 - 29:30 I am working hard to regulate my blood sugar naturally and am focusing on foods with a low glycemic index. What are some of the best things that I should be eating? Also, do you think buying organic makes a big difference? * Katherine in SC Q8 - 37:28 I’ve recently started making smoothies in the morning and try to squeeze as much green stuff in there as I can! A friend recommended buying frozen organic spinach, because it’s cheaper than fresh spinach AND it makes the smoothies cold and icy which I love. I am just curious if frozen spinach has all the same properties as fresh spinach? Is there any difference? * Rachel in Columbia Q9 - 41:06   I’ve always heard that weight loss is 90% what you eat, and that exercise isn’t as important, but I want to start moving and trying to kick my weight loss up a notch. I work a full time job and have two kids, so I don’t have a ton of time, but I am committed to carving out atleast 30 minutes a couple times a week. What is the best exercise I can do to maximize this small amount of time? -Kate in New York   --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only. Why is this? -Ashleigh in Park City   Q2 09:07 I’ve been looking into the Keto, and I think it’s crazy how people eat so much fat like mayo, sour cream, bacon, etc. I am not comfortable with eating this much fat, do I have to eat a ton of fat to be considered Keto? Or could I just stick low carb and eat moderate fats? -Angela in Lexington   Q3 12:27 Every where I turn, I see the Keto diet popping up out of nowhere. How accurate are those? -Karen in Fort Bragg   Q6 22:52 I combine intermittent fasting with a low carb lifestyle, and have never felt better than I do when I am in ketosis. Alex from Arc Hemp explains the difference between Marijuana and Hemp and what CBD oil actually is and the health benefits of using it. Learn more about Arc Hemp here: archempllc.com Video Link: https://youtu.be/j3CB04ruc9w    CRW PODCAST QUESTIONS Q - 13:22 In your last podcast about CBD oil, the guest mentioned that it doesn’t matter how you take it. I have been taking it in my water, but I notice that the oil doesn’t really mix with the water, so I am not getting my full dose, some of the oil sticks around the walls of the cup and I am wasting a lot. What is a better way that I can take this oil? - Jennifer in Chino   Q - 28:03 On your last podcast you mentioned a couple brands of CBD oil, but I looked them up online and they were SO expensive! Is there anywhere that I can purchase it more affordably? -Cheryl in Fort Worth   Q - 28:22 What is the recommended dosage for someone who is just starting to take CBD oil and doesn’t have any major health problems? I just want to take it for my health in general, but am not currently struggling with any health issues (THANK GOD!) -Stephanie in Blacksburg   Q - 30:25 April talked a little about the Endocannabinoid System on her last podcast, but I am still having a hard time understanding what this is? If it is a legit system in the body, how come I never learned about it in health and science classes growing up? -Whitley in South Carolina    Q - 31:22 In looking into CBD oil I read nothing but good things! I only have two questions. 1) Are there are any substances that I should NOT use or take while taking CBD? 2) I am big into essential oils and I mix several with coconut oil to rub on and apply for things like my carpal tunnel and back pain. Can I mix my CBD oil in with these oils, or does it need to be taken orally? -Diane in Palmyra    Q - 35:01 I have been doing my online research and am wondering what the difference is in a Cannabinoid and an Endocannabinoid? Sometimes when I am reading about this stuff it is like I am reading another language! -Paris in Chesapeake   Q - 37:57 I am, what most people what most people consider to be relatively healthy. Since I am not trying to cure a particular disease, I am wondering what some of the other functions of the Endocannabinoid system are and what kind of improvements around my body I could expect to see if I take CBD regularly? -Justine in Tampa   Q - 39:10 I found it really shocking that your last podcast guest lost so much weight on CBD and THC oils. I always thought they would give you the munchies! What is it about these oils that can cause weight loss? -Tara in Portland   Q - 42:07  I have been struggling with fertility for the past couple of years and my friend recently recommended CBD oil. I am unsure if she was just trying to make a sale, or if this really is a good idea. Is it safe to take this type of drug when I am trying to become pregnant? And I guess the second part of my question would be how can CBD oil help me with reproduction? -Anonymous   Q - 43:52 I have heard so many things about CBD oil! I want to know, what is your absolute favorite benefit of these oils, and what changes have you noticed, personally? -Karen in Alexandria   --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only.  Recommendations for Effective Natural Hair Removal & Curbing Facial Hair Growth if You Have PCOS - Podcast Preview From Episode 44 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:33

Hey Guys! In Today's Podcast Preview, we took a little clip from my talk with Felice Gersh M.D. (Full Episode Down Below). The Majority of women have elevated levels of testosterone and a smaller percentage have elevated levels of DHEA Sulfate. Until these levels go down, the elevated hair growth will not stop. These days "laser hair removal" is actually considered "laser hair REDUCTION". The only permanent hair removal is electrolysis which is somewhat a dying art. The most effective way is going to be to lower and regulate those testosterone levels, and you can do this through FASTING. This is just part of one of the questions from the episode so make sure to check out the full version.  Full Episode: http://bit.ly/CRWPreview44 Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMGD1LCNajE&lc --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only.  #45: Will Dairy hinder your Weight Loss, Is Grass Fed Beef really grass fed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 31:58

WA 045 On this episode, Chantel Talks with John Stein of popular restaurant chain Baker’s Crust and Thomas Vandiver the owner of The Neighborhood Harvest, a local farm. They discuss what the term “Grass Fed” really means, the effect that dairy has on wright loss, which fruits you should buy organic, and what the health benefits are of raw milk vs pasteurized milk! Baker's Crust: https://bakerscrust.com/    The Neighborhood Harvest: http://theneighborhoodharvest.com/ Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuiGUATHiNU&feature=youtu.be   CRW PODCAST QUESTIONS Q - 02:29 Like a lot of moms, I am constantly trying to find the balance of feeding my family healthy foods and also sticking to a budget. My main questions are about meats and veggies. First of all, which veggies do I absolutely need to buy organic, and which ones can I skip on and just wash really good? When it comes to meat, my husband is a big steak guy, he wants to eat steak all the time! I’ve noticed there is a big difference in pricing of grass feed meat and meat that isn’t grass fed. First of all, what even constitutes grass fed meat? And second, is it worth spending the extra mone? - Carol in Florida Q - 12:59 The other day I was going out to grab lunch and I offered to pick her up an Ahi Tuna Bowl because we eat these together all the time! It is one of our favorite healthy, go-to’s. But this time my coworker told me she was going to pass because she heard that there is a lot of mercury in the fish lately. Is this true? I always think of tuna as one of the healthiest clean proteins and I hate to cut it out of my diet. She did mention that she already has exceptionally high mercury levels so I am wondering if this varies from person. Maybe there is a chance my levels are lower than hers? Do we all need to be wary of mercury, and how do I find out what my levels are? -Alyssa in Virginia Beach Q - 17:01  I live in Virginia Beach, and one of my favorite things to do in the summer time is to grab a cold beer and a dozen raw oysters at a local restaurant. If you ask me, it’s one of the best parts of living at the beach! I am not sure if this happens at other beaches, but here in Virginia Beach, we’ve had a couple days this summer where we had swim advisories on certain streets of the ocean front saying that we shouldn’t swim there because there was too much bacteria in the water. Gross! I’ve lived here for ten years and don’t remember hearing anything like this. What does this even mean? And my biggest question is how does this affect my delicious oysters that live in this water that we are not allowed to swim in? The last time I ate oysters, my stomach didn’t feel well. I am wondering if this was in my head, or is there a tie between this and the bacteria in my water? I always thought that oysters were a healthy go to! - Patty in Virginia Beach Q - 20:33 What are your thoughts on buying pre-cut, pre-packaged fruits and veggies? I am a super busy (Like everyone else LOL) and I find that I only eat my fruits and veggies if it is super convenient and prewashed, especially my spinach and greens. The other day I read online that Trader Joes had a recall on watermelon that came pre-cut and this grossed me out! It got me wondering if this convenience was worth it. What do you think caused this recall, and should I try to avoid pre-packaged foods? - Parker in Charleston, WV Q - 24:16  I have been struggling with a lot of autoimmune issues for a couple years now, and after listening to the doctors on your podcast I decided that I needed to clean up the way I am eating. Dairy was a big thing that I cut out, and have replaced 100% with almond milk and coconut milk. I also have been eating a lot of healthy fats like Avocados. I am starting to feel better, but I notice that my weight loss has slowed down. Am I doing something wrong? -Cassie in Charlottesville Q - 27:49  Your podcast inspired me to hit up my local juice bar and pick up a yummy green juice! After I paid, I noticed the expiration date was for the next day. I asked them when they made the juice and they said it was five days earlier! I remember you talking about how we should drink the juices we make right away so this kind of grossed me out that this juice was sitting in the jar for five days! Can you refresh my memory on how long fresh juice is good to drink after it’s made? I have a small juicer at home, I know it would be best that I make it myself. It is just a hassle!! - Jenn in Williamsburg --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only. Q – 27:24 Can you break down the Endocannabinoid System and specifically how it can effect the hormonal issues we deal with as women?   Q – 35:36 When I visited my gynecologist, she told me she “thought” that I had PCOS, but that there is no true way to tell. She knows that I am not trying to conceive at this time in my life, and brushed it off like it was something I shouldn’t be concerned with since I am not trying to get pregnant. I do want to have kids one day, and I am not comfortable with the fact that something could potentially be wrong. What can I do to be improving my health, so that when I am ready to have children, I can maximize my chances of conceiving? -Jennifer in Little Rock   Q – 46:13 My Doctor prescribed me with Birth Control as a way to treat my PCOS, and said that I needed it in order to keep my period regular. I personally HATE birth control side effects, the weight gain, mood swings, etc. Also, I just don’t like taking medicine every day! But I have remained on it because my Dr told me to. Is it true that this is the best treatment for PCOS, or is there a more natural remedy that you recommend? -Jordan in NC   Q –50:09 I love your podcast and I am so excited that you are having a doctor on to talk about PCOS, because sometimes I feel alone in my struggle with it. What are some of the best natural supplements that a woman with PCOS should take? Are there certain foods that I should be sure to include in my diet, and certain foods that I should leave out? -Nicole in Saratoga   Q – 54:05 One of my least favorite side effects of PCOS is the embarrassing hair on my face. When I went in for laser hair removal, they even told me that they told me that they wouldn’t even guarantee that it would work for someone that struggles with PCOS. I was so discouraged, I don’t want to deal with this beard forever! Do you have any recommendations for natural hair removal that are effective, or a way that I can curb my facial hair growth? -Anonymous    Q – 57:39 My sister struggles with PCOS, and had a really hard time conceiving. Sadly, she also had a miscarriage on one of her pregnancies. I was wondering if miscarriages can be related to PCOS, or if PCOS only affects your ability to conceive? I ask because my Doctor told me that it is common for PCOS to run in sisters and I am curious what my future will be like if I decide to have children? -Ashley in Springfield   Q –1:01:53 I struggle with PCOS which means that I don’t get a period consistently. Sometimes I go 3-4 months without a period, so when I do, the cramps are out of this world! I almost can’t function, they are so bad, extending to my legs and my back. Without being too gross, the flow is extremely heavy as well. What are some ways that I can help alleviate these symptoms of my out of the control periods? -Anonymous --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only. Cancer survivor April Saull is back to talk to us more about CBD oil because we've gotten so many questions about it! We have included some links below that we mentioned throughout the episode! Enjoy episode 43 of the podcast! Video Link: https://youtu.be/ovfhVO_Lfzw Bob Melomede: https://www.youtube.com/user/doctorbobcannabuzz Acai Bowl Recipe: https://youtu.be/jkPPYS4IFBw Celery Juice: https://youtu.be/T_i9mP2vyd8 Shows April Mentioned: Run from the Cure, World without Cancer, Rockefeller Medicine    Q- 1:53 I am a big fan of April’s and I love following her on Instagram and Facebook! I can’t believe how incredible her body looks. Not only is she thin, but she is STRONG and fit! What kinds of workouts do you do to stay so chiseled? -Joanne in Virginia Beach Q- 10:46 I keep hearing great things about CBD oil and I ordered some that is supposed to taste like Peppermint. The container says that I should take 20 drops but I put it in water and it just tastes NASTY. Am I taking it wrong, and is there a better way that I can do this or something else I can mix it with? -Christy in Austin Q- 11:53 Overnight it seems like everyone is talking about CBD oil. I have several friends that are distributing it and everyone says that theirs is the best! In your opinion, where is the best place to order CBD oil and is it worth it to pay for the more expensive brands? -Kara in Tampa Q- 13:57 April’s podcast was so inspiring. I recently had a close family member diagnosed with brain cancer. She is undergoing chemo and radiation after surgery and is just so miserable! I am trying so hard to convince her to consider an alternate approach because I truly believe it has the power to heal her! But she is so stuck on her doctor’s orders. What would you say to your family member if you were me? -Anonymous Q- 15:20 In her podcast, April talked about how she did a TON of research and really educated herself after her diagnosis. If I wanted to do similar research of my own, where is the best place to get started? What are some of your favorite resources? -Jamie in Connecticut Q- 16:40 My CBD oil just came in the mail! I am excited to get started but want to make sure that I am doing it right. What is the best time of day to take this, and should I take it with food or on an empty stomach? -Erin in NC Q- 18:15 Can someone please explain the difference in CBD oil and Cannabis? From my understanding, CBD oil is completely legal, but cannabis is still illegal in many states. I want to make sure I am staying out of trouble LOL but also want to be sure I am taking advantage of some of the as many benefits LEGALLY as I can! -Alison in Virginia Q- 20:42 I loved listening to April’s podcast with her friend. She talked a lot about how she cleaned up her diet after her diagnosis. What would you say are some of the top healing foods that I should focus on eating? -Jennifer in Massachusetts Q- 23:51 I recently ordered CBD oil and when I took it, I got extremely nauseous. I took 20 drops in my water as the Directions called for. Did I take too much, or is this normal when you take it for the first time? -Karen in Chesapeake Q- 24:28 Can you put into really simple terms the difference in CBD and THC oil? From what I understand one is completely legal and the other isn’t. Do they have the same effects? -Noah in Suffolk Q- 26:35 On your podcast with April, she talked a little about the endocannabinoid system and how this is an untapped system in most of our bodies. Can you expand on this and explain it some more? This is the first I’ve heard of it. Can my endocannabinoid system help regulate my thyroid function? * Jennifer in Boston Q- 27:48 I was talking to a friend the other day who told me that celery juice is really good for you! I was really shocked because I have always been told that it was primarily water and just didn’t have a lot of substance. What are some benefits of celery juice and what is the best way to prepare it? -Josh in Chesapeake Q- 31:09 33 I’ve been researching the Vegan diet, and I know that April is a big fan of it. I am learning all kinds of stuff about plant-based proteins and wanted to see which ones you recommend or are your favorite protein sources? -Claire in Alexandria --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only. I really love my job, and I love listening to your podcasts while I am on the road to pass time. Which brings me to my issue…passing time. I’ve got a lot of time to pass which leads me to a lot of eating when I am not truly hungry. I try to switch things up and eat things like sunflower seeds or peanuts, but these still have calories and still qualify as food. Another career isn’t an option right now, but I really want to start living by the principles of healthy eating and need to stop my snacking! I usually open my window around 12pm each day and I will eat a bigger lunch. I try keep my eating window open from 12-6, and I am finding that I am cramming that last meal of the day into my window and I am not truly hungry. I go out to eat with friends a lot, and find myself ordering food just because everyone else is eating. I like to be social, and it would make me said to just go home by myself and miss out. Do you have any advice so I can keep my social life, but not force myself to eat when I am not truly hungry? -Erin in Greensboro   Q2 6:03 I’ve been following the Intermittent Fasting lifestyle for about 3 months now. I try to stick to a 6 hour window, with one small snack and one meal. Emphasis on the word TRY. I do a really good job healthy snack/small meal during the day at work, but when I get home around 5pm I am tired, stressed from a long day, and I just want to eat everything in sight! I don’t drink wine like a lot of people do to unwind. Eating is literally the only way I know how to unwind after a long day. I have had some success when I stick to my eating window and the principles in your book, and I really want to continue to lose weight! I just need some advice to keep me from getting de-railed in the evening. - Katie in Massachusetts   Q3 - 9:29 I do a really good job at home with stocking my house with mostly “healthier” foods, and more natural treats. It really helps me stay on track! The problem is the people I work with don’t have the same mindset. They are constantly bringing junk into the office…Dunkin Donuts, pizza, candy….sometimes I feel like I work at a buffet! They will say things like “a little piece won’t kill you”…but I know that mindless munching is just a path I try not to walk down. Do you have any advice for how I can handle working in this perpetual potluck? - Michelle in Hampton   Q4 - 11:54 I am a truck driver…female truckers REPRESENT! Any advice? - Colleen – On the Road   Q5 - 21:42 My boyfriend and I broke up a few months ago. I know it was for the best, but I really miss all of the fun things we used to do together on the weekends. I am not ready to start dating right now, and don’t want to rebound. But since I am not dating anyone, I spend a lot of time alone at home on the weekends. Which means a lot of take out, cookie dough, and “ooh what should I order tonight?” I know this isn’t a good idea, especially since I will need to get back on the dating scene eventually! LOL. Any advice? - Anonymous   Q6 - 23:24 I loved the podcast that you did a few months ago about emotional eating! I took the quiz you made online, and identified as a stress eater. No surprise there! I have three small kids that I am constantly chasing around, I am so busy feeding them that I don’t take the time to prepare myself healthy meals, so I just grab anything I can get my hands on, whenever I have the chance. My husband is deployed right now, so my stress is at an all time high. I know I shouldn’t be turning to food for my “fix”, but I can’t stop. Admitting I have a problem is the first step right? Now I just need some tips to help me stop! Please help. - Constance in Pensacola   Q7 -25:44 A friend of mine that is really into fitness recommended that I try keeping a food journal and recording the food that I eat. I feel like this would cause me to obsess over what I eat, and it almost goes against what you talk about in your book with making food an idol. Have you ever kept a food journal, and do you recommend this? - Carrie in Knoxville   Q8 - 28:30 I work in real estate, just like you, Chantel! As you can understand, it is very stressful. I spend my entire day trying to keep everyone happy, and in the evening all I want to do is unwind with some wine or vodka. I don’t go crazy binge drinking, but I find myself drinking pretty much every day. Where do I draw the line and how do I recognize the difference between drinking to unwind from my stressful career, and becoming dependent/borderline alcoholic? -Becca in Virginia Beach   Q9 - 30:27 I was a size two when I married my husband. Fast forward ten years and a couple of kids, and I am now in size double digits.  He probably doesn’t realize how hurtful he’s being but he makes thoughtless comments all the time about the way I used to look, or makes comments about things I should or shouldn’t eat…talks about me joining the gym.. I know I should talk to him about how this makes me feel, it’s honestly just awkward. I find myself keeping my feelings inside and when he’s not around, I binge out on junk food behind his back. I know this is a messed up way of thinking! But at the time, I feel like I am getting back at him for trying to control what I eat. How can I tackle this tough situation and try to repair my marriage and my outlook on food? - Anonymous   Q10 - 32:19 I struggle with crazy anxiety, but have been slowly weening off my meds because the side effects were getting to be too much. I have been doing a lot of things like yoga/meditation, Bible reading, going for walks, which you’ve talked about before, but I still have nights that I am crazy anxious, and all I want to do is eat. The other night, I found myself in bed with two Big Bite hot dogs from 7-11 and a 20 oz of Yuengling just to make me feel better! What are some other ways that I can combat my night time anxiety. It seems to be manageable during the day when I am keeping busy! -Katherine in Baltimore   Q11 - 39:20 I really want to quit smoking for a multitude of really obvious reasons, but every single person I talk to who has quit smoking successfully has told me that it caused them to gain a ton of weight. It makes sense, and is easy to assume they are replacing their cigarette addiction with a food addiction. Which is the last thing I need! I don’t want this to be an excuse that keeps me from quitting though. Do you have any advice to help me stop smoking without packing on the pounds? - Anonymous   To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link:  Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay

HEY GUYS! Welcome back to another episode of Waist Away: The Intermittent Fasting Podcast! Last week, we talked to Thyroid Therapist Kristin Savory. We didn't finish all of the questions so here is PART 2! The first episode was PACKED with so much awesome info, so check that out below! As always, enjoy today's podcast! Video Version: https://youtu.be/22HJnw0F9WA Episode 1 Audio: https://chantelray.podbean.com/e/kristinsavory/ Episode 1 Video: https://youtu.be/1-iSuRISvH8   Q1 - 1:40 I've tried to cut out most dairy products since they seem to affect me negatively, but lately, I've heard more and more people mentioning raw dairy, saying it is a healthier alternative. Some people are saying it is illegal though! Is this true? Where can I get it safely and legally? Denise in Little Rock Q2 - 6:51 When it comes to trying to help/heal my thyroid naturally, what are some of the best foods that I can eat? Will my diet really make a difference? I am so tired, I don't want to feel this way for the rest of my life! What should I eat, and what should I cut out? Kelly in Murfreesboro Q3 - 9:44 I have loved hearing from so many doctors on your podcast lately! I don't have s super technical mind, and sometimes I am having a hard time keeping up with their lingo. I really want to understand the difference between T4 and T3 and what I need to be looking at when I have my blood work done. Can you or your next guest explain this really simply? Melanie in Manassas Q4 - 13:57 I've heard Doctors say that I need to wait 4-6 weeks between thyroid check-ups to see a real difference, but I have been doing self-tests I got online almost weekly, and I notice a change each week. Why do doctors say that I need to wait? Patty in NC Q5 - 15:58 One of my friends went in for botox and her doctor said that there are some hormones you can insert via your booty that help with any aging in case you have issues producing hormones on your own as you age. Have you heard of this, and is it safe? Paula in Charleston Q6 - 18:10 I've read that fermented foods are good for digestion. When I think fermented, the only thing that comes to mind is sauerkraut. Yuck!!! Is there anything that is fermented and actually tastes good? Or should I just stick with a good probiotic?
