Pastor Steve wraps up the Fruit of the Spirit series by talking through self-control. Self-control is the self-rule over all evil propensities of the flesh, dominion over sinful desires, and power over evil passions of all kinds.
In Part 6 of the Fruit of the Spirit, Pastor Steve speaks on Faithfulness. The fact is, God is faithful and He wants to work His faithfulness into and out of our lives. Pastor Steve specifically addresses three areas of life where we need to be found faithful: 1) Faithfulness in receiving and standing for God’s truth, 2) Faithfulness in stewarding God’s gifts and purposes, and 3) Faithfulness in our relationships.
In Part 5 of the Fruit of the Spirit, Pastor Steve teaches on Kindness, Goodness, and Gentleness. The Spirit wants to produce in us the same Kindness, Goodness, and Gentleness that we have been given in Jesus and then express it through us to reveal the kind, good, gentle heart of God to people.
In Part 4, Pastor Jimmy Harris teaches on patience, the fourth fruit of the Spirit. He gives practical examples on how to build margin into your life so that you can position your heart to receive more patience from the Holy Spirit. You cannot become patient without margin in your life. You are literally planning to be angry and controlling if you refuse to bring margin into your life.
Pastor Steve continues through the Fruit of the Spirit by preaching on Peace - Peace Promised, Peace Provided, Peace Practiced. Jesus’ peace is not dependent upon favorable circumstances and it actually overcomes the worldly tribulations we face and surpasses understanding!
