That’s a wrap for season 4, and what a year it’s been. This is the audio from an Instagram livestream we did as our going away event. It was great having everyone in the chat and we look forward to doing it again next year, for season 5.

In this episode we’re joined by Paul O’Brien from Modet, a contemporary furniture designer and maker out of Ireland. He walks us through his process and we get into the style he’s become known for.

It's our 100th episode! Bryan’s off this week spending some time with Zola. A huge congratulations to him and Lani and the birth of their second child last week. Joey and Robin still got together to talk about Joey’s new workshop and how the move went, and got sidetracked talking about paint sprayers.

Vivienne was an intern in Bryan’s workshop not long ago and she joins us to talk through what that was like, and the importance of asking questions.

Nick joins us again after talking to us 3 years ago. His creative journey has rocketed forward in that time and we discuss one of his greatest pieces to date. We also get into his business philosophy, a lot of great advice!

Nick Atkins is a 3rd generation boat builder out of Melbourne. His love of modern technology in a traditionally hands on field has given rise to some interesting processes. Oh, and he also makes ant farms.

James Howe is renowned furniture maker from South Australia. He joins us to share his journey, and go through the process of becoming a designer.

This episode we have a very special guest, one very close to Brian’s heart. Lani, Brian’s wife, is a creative marketer and she’s on the show to talk about how we can improve our branding and image. It’s a little removed from woodworking but if you own your own business this episode is gold!

This week Robin has the opportunity to quote on a built in book shelf. With the help of the boys they go through some of the challenges that might pop up.

It’s time for our first guest of the season, Julian McCartney from Glencross Furniture. He’s got a strong background in furniture restoration, as a designer and maker, and a wealth of knowledge in the industry, take a listen.

We made it through episode 1 and we made it back for another. We’re talking supply chain, knock affects, and how it all costs too bloody much right now! Also, Joey and Robin used to play in bands that you can lookup on YouTube.

We’re going unfiltered this season with our first show of season 4 being very unscripted. We used this episode to catch up on where we’ve been, it’s great to be back!

We’ve made it to the end of 2021, and the end of season 3. We’ll be taking a few months off from the show, returning next year, but we have one last get together to talk about the years that’s been.
