Sheffield, England isn't loaded with tourist attractions. But it has it's own charm, and plenty of things to do. If you know where to look.
Sheffield is known for its history of steel and soccer hooligans. And it may look a little bleak, but we've found the people to be anything but.
Cousin Avi was on to something when he complained about the weather and food. But we're making the most of it while visiting York and Manchester.
Now that we've achieved minor celebrity status, it's time to say goodbye to Knutsford England. We've certainly made our mark!
Weighty topics, indeed. But everything goes better with pie, especially when there's music at the end.
While we're not yet thrilled by the beer, the food in England has been surprisingly good. And sometimes, overly surprising.
Four days in Brussels with Evo fighting a cold isn't the best time ever. Still, we got out, did some things, and made it to England. Along the way, we managed to get some recording done, too!
Meeting Hjörtur Smárason was a highlight of my trip. Along with his partner Erik Micheelsen, they're linking up fantastic coworking spaces through Innovation Embassy. They're deep in development of an entirely new platform to enable collaboration around the world, and I'm excited to see what they have to offer.
Our last week on our own in Denmark was... well, it's hard to label. I mean, how many people get to experience craft beer, innovation, random kindness of strangers, and beating a cat out of a barrel as they travel the world?
Sheila had a crappy week. My attitude at the museum wasn't helping. But the trip to the beach was nice. For my part, I'm much happier with the length of this episode. Here's hoping you are, too.
Well that didn't take long. Less than a month out of the states, and I needed to see a medical professional. This week's show is dedicated to my experience with socialized medicine, which every traveling foreigner probably worries about just a little. Spoiler: I didn't die.
We discover the French way of giving bad beer flavor, how not to order postage, the vagaries of languages, and the natural car of France. Give us fifteen minutes, and we'll give your ears a taste (?) of what it's like living in the French countryside -- without speaking a lick of French!
On this, the fourth episode of the ShEvo Studio On Tour podcast, we talk about water, improved health conditions, taking wrong turns, and the excitement found when shopping for groceries. A riveting way to spend twelve minutes of your time, to be sure.
As I wrote this episode of the ShEvo Studios On Tour podcast, I was hurtling -- literally hurtling -- through the French countryside on a super comfy train. Waze told me we were clocking in at over 230 KPH, which is -- and I just checked this -- pretty damned fast, especially for an American who typically drives faster than trains.
Did I mention we’re not quite the world travelers you might imagine us to be? Sure, we’ve done plenty of travel to other countries in this half of this hemisphere. But never for anything more than a handful of weeks, and never one with multiple country stops. So as you might imagine, there are a lot of things we don’t know. We need to educate ourselves. Which is leading us to some interesting learnings. If you have eight minutes to spare, we'll share them with you!
