Speculative investing in cryptocurrencies can be a ton of fun (and highly profitable), but it also leads to chasing gains over and over. Ripple (XRP) and Ethereum (ETH) have both had incredible moves in the past day, specifically XRP up over 50% in the last 24 hours and ETH hitting a fresh ATH in the last day. We're (only) a few billion away from half a TRILLION dollars in Crypto market cap. It's been an incredible bull run across the board for Bitcoin, Litecoin (crushing it) and Ethereum as well. Litecoin has absolutely mooned from around $100, all the way up to over $270, an incredible run. Bitcoin is going up, and up, and up. And the altcoins are losing steam as money flows heavily into BTC. How long will this continue to play out? When investing in cryptocurrency, it's important to understand the difference between fiat gains/profits and Bitcoin gains/profits. Sometimes, you can make significant fiat profit, but you would have made much more if you'd simply "hodled" Bitcoin. Bitcoin has passed the $10,000 milestone (and now $11,000), with ETH over $500, and LTC over $100. ICO regulation might be coming soon, so how companies adjust to that "threat" is highly important. Because of the rapid innovation within ICO's, the landscape for how companies are running initial coin offerings/token sales is changing quickly.
