On Thursday, some major highlights include panels for Terminator: Dark Fate which likely include appearances by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and James Cameron. Following that will be a 20th anniversary panel for Batman Beyond featuring cast and crew. Friday, Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony & Joe Russo host a Q&A panel following writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely in Hall H. Also, expect first looks at The Witch Netflix original and Dark Crystal, and a Game of Thrones reunion panel. Saturday, Marvel Studios is expected to have a big impact on SDCC 2019 this year with a 90-minute presentations that will likely unveil much of what's to come in the MCU's Phase 4, including a first look at Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and announcements for Doctor Strange 2 and Black Panther 2.

It: Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti is in talks to take over directing duties for DC's The Flash. The film, which has undergone extensive creative changes throughout the years, still has Ezra Miller on board to star as the Scarlet Speedster. Christina Hodson will reportedly pen the script. Following last week's news that Robert Pattinson was the top choice for the role of Batman, Warner Bros. and director Matt Reeves confirmed the news. Robert Pattinson will star as Bruce Wayne and Batman in the first of a trilogy, set to debut in June 2021. Tom King, writer of the recent run of Batman comics, will pen The New Gods alongside director Ava DuVernay.

Robert Pattinson has joined the cast of Matt Reeves' The Batman to play the titular hero in a new story in the Batman mythos. Pattinson, who can next be seen in Cannes hits The Lighthouse and Christopher Nolan's Tenet will be joined by villains the Catwoman and the Penguin, amongst others. The first look at Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker was finally revealed at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. Director J.J. Abrams, alongside producer Kathleen Kennedy and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Joonas Suotamo, Noamie Acker, and Billy Dee Williams took to the stage to reveal the first images and teaser trailer from the film.
