Today’s podcast comes straight from my heart. To be honest it’s not easy right now because things are so raw, but I really did my best and decided to couple an impromptu podcast together with a live reading of my story “Skeleton Mask” for you all.

Huge apology I am dealing with a snafu at home and my computer has crashed so I’ve been scrambling to get my series back up Zen Den, but I managed to put this lovely podcast out for your listening pleasure today. Topics I cover: Uh.. the elephant in the room... this manic, crazy and slightly scary period we share in history. California just went on lockdown and New York is likely next. But it’s a beautiful day today outside so social distancing will have to happen under the sun today. Additionally some sad news that the Ireland tour has been canceled of which I completely support. Yesterday the camera store that I went to was entirely Hasidic Jews, the firehouse down the street is traditionally Irish, The boiler repair shop next to me is entirely Jamaican, The employees at our local grocery store are majority African Americans and Puerto Rican’s from the housing projects in my neighborhood, and that grocery store is shutting down next month. Where will these people go to find work? Were they pushed out? Did I and the artists that moved here have anything to do with it? All this on more of this weeks Onward with William McCarthy Podcast.
