 No. 130 - Blurred Laine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:36:13

After a two week 'break' that saw us release two bonus episodes, Elan and Brian are back for the first 'regular' episode Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast of the year.   This edition opens with an injury and a rant, as Brian lets the world know what he thinks of 'clean hits' in the wake of Patrik Laine's concussion. The guys go on to pinpoint a few rosters that have been hit particularly hard by the injury bug-- Nashville, Montreal, and Florida-- and assess the absences of a scoring winger that poolies, Kings fans, and maybe even Anze Kopitar would love to have back, as well as a first line forward in the desert who is obviously Martin Hanzal. Outjuries come next, with the guys rueing the return of not just a goalie but a goalie controversy in Philadelphia, lauding a rejuvenated lot of top six forwards (and perhaps another goalie controversy to be imminently reignited) in Tampa Bay, wondering whether there's room for more than one productive blueliner in Pittsburgh, and realizing there's not much new to say about the returns of an injury-prone Blackhawk and Hurricane. A short goalie-centric interlude follows, where the league's newest number one goalie's tier placement is assessed, hope is shared regarding a long-standing tandem situation morphing into a clearer #1/#2 scenario, and hope is dashed by two guys who refuse to run away with the starters' job when given the opportunity. Hot streaks feature an entire line of flaming Flames, a near-entire top six of Wild running wild, and an entire touchdown of Leafs who are making it harder to use the word 'Leafy' as a negative connotation. A surprising scoring leader in Vancouver, not either of the first three blueliners you'd guess in Washington, a couple young Red Wings and a pair of Pups (that's what you call a baby shark) round out the segment. And finally, the show closes with cold streaks, with unsurprising visits to the infamous 3rd line in St Louis, and the higher lines in Colorado.  Players mentioned on this episode include Patrik Laine, Mikael Backlund, Bo Horvat, Michael Frolik, Kevin Fiala, Aaron Ekblad, Tyler Johnson, Victor Hedman, PK Subban, Matthew Tkachuk, Kris Letang, Justin Schultz, Connor Brown, Zach Hyman, Anze Kopitar, Jeff Carter, Ryan Strome, Kevin Labanc, Timo Meier, Jacob Trouba, Drew Stafford, Nik Ehlers, Joel Armia, Mark Scheifele, Dustin Byfuglien, Roman Josi, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Ellis, James Neal, Viktor Arvidsson, Juuse Saros, Pekka Rinne, Tyler Toffoli, Milan Lucic, Jake Muzzin, Alec Martinez, Alex Barkov, Nick Bjugstad, Seth Griffith, Alex Galchenyuk,  Brendan Gallagher, Paul Byron, Philip Danault, Nathan Beaulieu, Martin Hanzal, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Radim Vrbata, Michal Neuvirth, Steve Mason, Nikita Kucherov, Ondrej Palat, Jonathan Drouin, Vladislav Namestnikov, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Ben Bishop, Marian Hossa, Artemi Panarin, Jonathan Toews, Vinny Hinostroza, Justin Faulk, Ty Rattie, Derek Ryan, Victor Rask, Jeff Skinner, Jaroslav Halak, Thomas Greiss, Andrew Ladd, John Gibson, Jonathan Bernier, Brian Elliott, Chad Johnson, Alex Chiasson, Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, TJ Brodie, Charlie Coyle, Mikael Granlund, Mikko Koivu, Zach Parise, Eric Staal, Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, James van Riemsdyk, William Nylander, Jake Gardiner, Morgan Rielly, Dmitry Orlov, Loui Eriksson, Anthony Mantha, Andreas Athanasiou, Alex Steen, Jaden Schwartz, Tyson Barrie, Matt Duchene, Torey Krug, John Klingberg, Jon Carlson and more. * * *   Download this episode, subscribe, and review us on iTunes!   If you enjoy the show, please support future episodes by becoming a patron of Keeping Karlsson.    Keeping Karlsson patrons can join our patron-only Facebook group and take part in (and receive audio from) a monthly live, face-to-face and interactive Keeping Karlsson recording!   You can also support us by telling a friend, subscribing to and reviewing Keeping Karlsson on iTunes, and following us on Twitter (@keepingkarlsson).  No. 129 - Eberle's Ills, 000000 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:31:46

It's the holiday edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, which is to say that it's exactly the same as all the others! Perhaps next week, when the podcast takes the week off, is the true holiday edition.. (take note: our next regular episode comes at you on January 8th).   Unwanted holidays begin our show, as Elan and Brian unwrap the effects of injuries around the NHL, including a couple of tender tenders in Tampa and Detroit, a shelved blueliner also in Detroit, and infirm top six forwards in New York and St. Louis. Returns from unwanted holidays follow, with kudos being handed out to a back-to-backup goalie in Chicago, best wishes to a Bruin forward edging his way out of the doghouse, and a couple of Hurricanes whose output will likely remain limited by their locale. Then, it's on to players gone AWOL, who've taken holidays without permission or approval from anyone. The guys lament the scoresheet absences of the next best Oiler after McDavid, a bandaid boy Blue, a couple of Habs, and the Sabre who was supposed to fix everything. We put a bow on this edition by saluting those players working overtime for your fantasy team, with four Blue Jackets, three Minnesota Wild, two Calgary Flames, and a Leafs goalie on a hot streak.  Players featured on this episode include Alex Wennberg, Cam Atkinson, Jordan Eberle, Mark Letestu, Matt Dumba, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Brian Elliott, Matthew Tkachuk, Frederik Andersen, Petr Mrazek, Anthony Mantha, Shea Weber, Alex Radulov, Jack Eichel, Jimmy Howard, Jared Coreau, Ben Bishop, Kristers Gudlevskis, Mike Green, Rick Nash, Kyle Palmieri, Brandon Pirri, Mika Zibanejad, Derek Stepan, Ryan Sproul, Paul Stastny, Alex Steen, Corey Crawford, Scott Darling, David Pastrnak, Ryan Spooner, Frank Vatrano, Elias Lindholm, Derek Ryan, Eddie Lack, Patrick Maroon, Leon Draisaitl, Jason Zucker, Eric Staal, Niklas Kronwall, Brian Rafalski, Cory Schneider and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by SeatGeek.  No. 128 - Auld Letang Sidelined | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:21:14

Do you like Mark Borowiecki? Do you like loud yeses? If yes, then you'll love the opening to this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast-- and you'll hopefully find some value in the fantasy hockey news, analysis and advice that follows, too!   Elan and Brian kick off the show with a visit to the infirmary, where they consider whether there's already a perfectly capable replacement for Kris Letang in Pittsburgh, whether there's anyone even left to play for the Habs, how the heck Cory Conacher found his way back into the Lightning lineup (and use this as a springboard to consider whether Victor Hedman is a top ten keeper defenseman), who the heck this Seth Griffith guy is that appeared in the midst of Marchessault's returns and departures to the lineup, and whether there's any meaning in Pastrnak's injury for Patrice Bergeron's fortunes rest of year.   Then they head over to the outfirmary, where they question Avs' management's handling of their should-be-peaking captain, wonder what Chicago's lines will possibly look like going forward, and chatter about whether anyone playing with the Flames' two best forwards is worth owning.   In hot streaks, they bicker (again!) over the future of a Duck on fire, a recently snoozing Senator, another blueline producer in Toronto, a Tavares linemate in Brooklyn, a sizeable chunk of the top nine in Minnesota, a Barracuda temporarily(?) evolved into a Shark, the obvious number one goalie in New York, and a guy who is awful but throws a billion hits, so he's got that going for him.   And just a couple cold streaks this week, featuring this week's victim of the St Louis Blues shuffle (but is there more to it than that?), a Star whose lost his grip on the coattails he's been riding, and a curiously underperforming super Star whose once long coattails have suddenly shrunk.   The show closes off with a few guys Brian tosses in at the end, including a dream sequence still continuing in Carolina, a secretive resurgence in Washington, and the very early seeds of a crease controversy for a Pacific team that's been without one for ages.   Players featured on this episode include Justin Schultz, Patric Hornqvist, Patrice Bergeron, Frank Vatrano, Kris Letang, Jeff Petry, Seth Griffith, Jonathan Marchessault, Alex Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Jussi Jokinen, Cory Conacher, Victor Hedman, Tyler Johnson, Gabriel Landeskog, Jarome Iginla, Jonathan Toews, Artem Anisimov, Marian Hossa, Kris Versteeg, Sean Monahan, Troy Brouwer, Johnny Gaudreau, TJ Brodie, Mark Giordano, Chad Johnson, Brian Elliott, Rickard Rakell, Sami Vatanen, Shea Theodore, Corey Perry, Bobby Ryan, Jake Gardiner, James van Riemsdyk,  Nazem Kadri, Anders Lee, Josh Bailey, Eric Staal, Nino Niderreiter, Mikko Koivu, Timo Meier, Henrik Lundqvist, Antti Raana, Mark Borowiecki, Alex Steen, Patrick Eaves, Jamie Benn, Derek Ryan, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Antti Niemi, Pekka Rinne, Juuse Saros and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by SeatGeek.  No. 127 - Raanta Awes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:35:06

Too early for a holiday-related episode title? This brand new episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast makes no apologies!    This week's edition kicks off with injuries, where we pause to consider how the Montreal Canadiens put up a ten-spot without two of their top three centremen, as well as how anything good can happen in Arizona with a key component of their first line gone for a while. And yes, Martin Hanzal is healthy..   There's much more happening in outjuries, where we've got a Predator and Senator goal-scorers whose gamelogs aren't all that dissimilar to when they were injured, a reliable top-sixer getting his spot back in Washington, and a masked Red Wing who'll be looking to regain the pre-injury form that had eluded him for a long, long, long, long while.   Speaking of goalies, weirdness continues to pervade keeper numbers and performances and tandems around the league, with a sudden extended rest for a legendary Ranger tendy, an apparent attempt at a tandem in Colorado, a turn away from a heretofore #1 in Winnipeg, and Cory Schneider doing his best Cam Ward impression.   Cold streaks this week sweep through an entire Metropolitan squad, key components of an Atlantic team, a couple guys named Zach, and a usually reliable King. Hot streaks include a guy Brian called a snoozer last week, a guy Elan called a snoozer last week, a still kind of hopeless buy maybe not Cap, a Cap tease, as well as a less hopeless Cap, a Blue and an Oiler who find themselves this week's beneficiaries of their teams' usual line shuffling, a bunch of Islanders(!?), a former Isle, and two Penguins d-men who Brian will again tell you not to rush to pick up.   Players featured on this episode include Alex Galchenyuk, Tomas Plekanec, Antti Raanta, Henrik Lundqvist, Max Domi, James Neal, Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson, TJ Oshie, Evgeni Kuznetsov, John Carlson, Bobby Ryan, Petr Mrazek, Jimmy Howard, Marcus Johansson, Radim Vrbata, Tobias Rieder, Anthony DeAngelo, Michael Stone, Mike Smith, Chet Pickard, Semyon Varlamov, Pekka Rinne, Michael Hutchinson, Connor Hellebuyck, Cory Schneider, Keith Kinkaid, Victor Rask, Derek Ryan, Jaccob Slavin,  Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher, Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu, Eric Staal, Zach Werenski Andrew Shaw, David Desharnais, Alex Radulov, Paul Byron, Philip Danault, Tyler Toffoli, Sam Gagner, Marian Gaborik, Jonathan Drouin, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, Steve Mason, Michal Neuvirth, Robby Fabbri, John Tavares, Josh Bailey, Anders Lee, Frans Nielsen, Justin Schultz, Ian Cole, Drake Caggiula and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by SeatGeek.  No. 126 - Eichel, Jack's In | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:32:19

Want to know what's on Brian's shelf? Well, you're in luck: the 126th episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast tells you that, and more! With the "more" being cutting edge and deeply informative fantasy analysis on the most important hockey news of the past week.   Big things are expected from this week's outjuries, as it's October in December for poolies who have Jack Eichel or any of his linemates. How much can he do for them? Same question for high-end forwards returning to boost top sixes in St Louis, Winnipeg, New Jersey, Pitsburgh and Calgary.   In a brand new segment this week, entitled Appendectomies and other Injuries, Elan and Brian discuss whether Scott Darling is the de facto number one on the league's top team while Corey Crawford is out, or whether that title can't possibly be bestowed on Chicago if Crawford's not in their lineup (not to mention Toews). We also mention a couple fallen Stars, and an unheralded Avalanche blueliner who will be dearly missed by his owners for the duration of his injury.   Hot streaks on this edition include a feast-or-famine Oiler who's currently feasting, a Bolt who quietly stepped up in Stamkos's absence, a Senator whose buy low window may now be closed, a shooting and hitting Blue Jacket with a couple recent points to his name, a Bruins D left for dead, a Coyote leading his team in scoring, and a Red Wings rookie riding shotgun with a streaking vet.   Cold streaks include a Dallas d-man, so disempowered players in Montreal, a demoted Coyote, a heretofore PP1 contributor in Columbus, and so many of the Florida Panthers.    Players featured on this episode include Jack Eichel, Alex Steen, Taylor Hall, Conor Sheary, Marc-Andre Fleury, Matt Murray, Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, Chad Johnson, Alex Barkov, Corey Crawford, Scott Darling, Roberto Luongo, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp, Julius Honka, John Klingberg, Jason Spezza, Erik Johnson, Tyson Barrie, Francois Beauchemin, Leon Draisaitl, Oscar Klefbom, Andrej Sekera, Valtteri Filppula, Jonathan Drouin, Mike Hoffman, Mark Stone, Kyle Turris, Erik Karlsson, Anthony Mantha, Henrik Zetterberg, Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher, Anthony DeAngelo, Brandon Saad, Boone Jenner, Cam Fowler, Sami Vatanen, Sam Gagner, Radim Vrbata, Sam Reinhart, Evander Kane, Rasmus Ristolainen, Nik Ehlers, Blake Wheeler, Vladimir Tarasenko, Kevin Shattenkirk, Colton Parayko, Travis Zajac, Adam Henrique, and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by SeatGeek.  No. 125 - Leisure Suit Cammalleri | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:26:36

Welcome to the quasiquincentennial edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast!   Injuries open this week's episode, as Elan and Brian get into who's out of the lineup, and who's moving up the depth chart as a result. We take a look at the top six in Pittsburgh, a nail in the coffin in Carolina, an unheralded shooting wizard moving on up in Nashville, a de-railed PP1 coup in Washington, and open doors to creases in the Pacific and Atlantic. There's also movement in the F corps in Toronto, Philadelphia and New York.   Outjuries follow, with the guys taking stock of several players returning to lineups already in progress. A pair of Kings enter an ace lineup, a top six forward in New Jersey that Brian urged you to pick up last week does heavenly things for himself and others, a Sabre tries to sharpen his team's shooting, and depth Panthers and Blue Jackets may only be drops in larger buckets.   Who's hot this week? We'll tell you! Specifically, there is a Duck who is actually scoring more goals than maybe he should, a couple Blues feeling downright jazzy, and a couple Canucks desperately trying to make the most of their situations.   Who's snoozing this week? We'll tell you that, too! Hover over the drop button for blueliners in Columbus, Boston and Minnesota, a couple goalies in the Metropolitan, and a forward in Philly.   Players featured on this episode include Jake Guentzel, Calvin Pickard, Semyon Varlamov, Petr Mrazek, Cam Ward, Viktor Arvidsson, James Neal, William Nylander, Leo Komarov, Nikita Soshnikov, Nazem Kadri, Mitch Marner, John Carlson, Chris Kunitz, Jesper Fast, Chris Kreider, Travis Konecny, Wayne Simmonds, Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik, Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli, Peter Budaj, Carey Price, Tuukka Rask, Devan Dubnyk, Michael Cammalleri, Ryan O'Reilly, Evander Kane, Nick Bjugstad, Seth Jones, Zach Werenski, Oscar Klefbom, David Perron, Jaden Schwartz, Rickard Rakell, Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Brandon Carlo, Jaroslav Halak, JF Berube, Ryan Kesler, Jakob Silfverberg, Jonathan Bernier, Loui Eriksson, Bo Horvat, Keith Kinkaid, Cory Schneider, Matt Dumba, Matt Murray, Marc-Andre Fleury and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by SeatGeek.  No. 124 - Wards of Warning | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:37

Erik Karlsson's engaged, and we hope you are, too, throughout this entire brand new episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast!   This episode kicks off with a list of injuries to star players that might just be the kick in the pants their healthy teammates need to finally get going. We pore over the depth charts in Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Calgary and Washington to figure out who might be ready to pick up the slack, with a particular nod to a Devil you know from last season.   Elan and Brian then go the other way to outjuries, considering whether the heretofore top line right winger in Dallas might finally get bumped, marveling at an entire top line that is criminally underowned, wondering whether a returning Red Wing offers any hope on a points-poor roster, and more.   Finally, the guys run down current hot streaks around the NHL, including the other point man in Montreal, the other winger in Vancouver, the other rookie in Toronto, the other McDavid linemate in Edmonton, the other Anisimov linemate in Chicago, and the other other guys in Winnipeg.   And somewhere along the way, they fight about Cam Ward and Jimmy Howard, while remaining reasonably calm on Mike Smith and Connor Hellebuyck.   Players featured on this episode include Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Drouin, Taylor Hall, Damon Severson, Michael Cammalleri, Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, Sam Bennett, Chad Johnson, Brian Elliott, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Ben Bishop, Mark Giordano, Dougie Hamilton, TJ Oshie, Justin Williams, John Carlson, Andre Burakovsky, Bobby Ryan, Pavel Buchnevitch, Tomas Hertl, JT Miller, Mika Zibanejad, Jimmy Vesey, Chris Kunitz, Patric Hornqvist, Kevin Labanc, Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, Logan Couture, Patrick Sharp, Patrick Eaves, Jason Spezza, Antoine Roussel, Martin Hanzal, Radim Vrbata, Max Domi, Matt Niskanen, Mike Smith, Louis Domingue, Thomas Vanek, Henrik Zetterberg, Dylan Larkin, Jimmy Howard, Ondrej Palat, Tyler Johnson, Petr Mrazek, Cam Ward, Andrei Markov, Victor Rask, Teuvo Teravainen, Brandon Sutter, Troy Stecher, James van Riemsdyk, Mitch Marner, Tyler Bozak, Morgan Rielly, Marian Hossa, Artem Anisimov, Jesse Puljujarvi, Milan Lucic, Patrick Maroon, Jordan Eberle, Marko Dano, Nic Petan, Connor Hellebuyck, and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by DRAFT!  It's a super fun and simple daily fantasy app where you build your team through a snake draft with your opponent, and then compete through the night's or week's games. We've got a fun mid-week bonus episode for you today; hopefully it will be enough to cheer you up after all the major injuries that have occured since our last show.   Elan is joined by Chris Wassel, senior fantasy hockey writer at dobberhockey.com and daily fantasy writer for FanVice, where they discuss Chris' top 10 projection blunders so far this season. There are a lot of players who are currently well below what the experts projected, and a few that have been pleasant surprises.   Are any of the players on your fantasy team one of the players in Chris' top 10 blunders? Have a listen to find out! Another episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, another argument about Steve Mason!   Elan and Brian butt heads right off the top over whether a fresh injury to Michal Neuvirth lays out a road to recovery for Steve Mason's 2016-17 season. There's less contention as they unpack the consequences of injuries to bluelines in Carolina and Columbus (btw, is Nick Foligno for real??), and thinner-than-you'd-think top sixes in Los Angeles and Colorado.   Outjuries and cold streaks are one and the same this week, as Evander Kane, Hampus Lindholm, Jacob Trouba and former shootout specialist Jussi Jokinen have yet to make an impact since re-joining their teams. Top power-play defensemen are also sputtering in Winnipeg, Florida, Colorado and Calgary-- we'll let you know whether you can expect the outages to continue with those players, as well as a banging Oiler, a quieter wunderkind Maple Leaf, and the entire Senators and Blues rosters.   And for every cold blue-liner, there's a hot one-- a Ranger and Coyote are both getting opportunities to make positive first impressions in the NHL, and an oft-cycled Flyer is suddenly hitting people. The guys also give props to streaking masked men in Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Nashville, along with a pair of revived veteran centremen in Minnesota and New Jersey.   The show rounds out with three snoozers: players that you might have on your roster without realizing they're no longer doing anything at all for your team. One of them scored 77 points last year, and Elan would drop him for Eric Staal in a shallow league.   Players featured on this episode include Steve Mason, Brady Skjei, Anthony DeAngelo, Seth Jones, Nick Foligno, Noah Hanifin, Pekka Rinne, Eric Staal, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Travis Zajac, Mark Scheifele, Connor Hellebuyck, Cam Ward, Eddie Lack, Evander Kane, Hampus Lindholm, Ryan Kesler, Jacob Trouba, Jussi Jokinen, Jonathan Marchessault, Reilly Smith, Vincent Trocheck, Dustin Byfuglien, Patrick Sharp, Jason Spezza, Kari Lehtonen, Antti Niemi, Tyson Barrie, Mark Giordano, Richard Panik, Aaron Ekblad, Auston Matthews, Mark Stone, Kyle Turris, Bobby Ryan, Derrick Brassard, Mike Hoffman, Erik Karlsson, Craig Anderson, Mike Condon, Milan Lucic, Patrick Maroon, Michael del Zotto, Matt Murray, Robby Fabbri, Teuvo Teravainen, Troy Stecher and more.   This episode was sponsored in part by DRAFT!  It's a super fun and simple daily fantasy app where you build your team through a snake draft with your opponent, and then compete through the night's or week's games.  No. 122 - Color Me Ladd | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:22:23

Is patience a virtue? This week's episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast is all about the players who are are most likely to be testing your tolerance with early-season slumps. Elan and Brian are here to help you decide whether to grant a stay of execution to these heretofore snoozers, or to cut your losses and move on. You've been asking all week for permission to let go of several skaters after watching them struggle to score for ten-plus games. Can a new Islander make more of a dent towards gaining back the 134 points sent out the door in the offseason? Is a young Panther centreman able to produce without his left-hand man? Were we fooled by an early-season surge by a perennial tease in St. Louis? Do two of three triplets deserve to survive on your roster? Will a Calgary forward's stat line continue to be as boring as he is?  The guys also examine the other side of the coin, which features a surprising selection of point-per-game players from around the league. Will several Blue Jackets continue lighting the lamp? Can a trio of Rangers possibly crack fifty points with only third line minutes and no power-play time? Did our earlier haste make waste of an opportunity to ride a Chicago centreman's ten game point streak? Can a Devils' d-man contend for forty points while barely putting any shots on net? All that, and more, on this week's episode! Players featured on this episode include Sergei Bobrovsky, Steve Mason, Aleksander Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Colton Sceviour, Ondrej Palat, Tyler Johnson, Paul Stastny, Jaden Schwartz, Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Michael Frolik, Derek Stepan, Poor Torey Krug, Andrew Ladd, Leon Draisaitl, Loui Eriksson, Radim Vrbata, Semyon Varlamov, Calvin Pickard, Jake Allen, Alexander Wennberg, Nick Foligno, Zach Werenski, Damon Severson, Yohann Auvitu, Artem Anisimov, Marian Hossa, JT Miller, Kevin Hayes, Michael Grabner, Marcus Johansson, Rickard Rakell, Dennis Seidenberg,, Alec Martinez, Jake Muzzin, Cal Clutterbuck, Evander Kane, David Backes, David Krejci, Conor Sheary, Niklas Kronwall, Mike Green, Carl Hagelin and more.  No. 121 - Dzingel All The Way | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:40:10

Will Mikko Rantanen meet high expectations in year one? Has Radko Gudas metamorphosed into an offensive force? Can the league's best five-on-five goal-scoring team continue being that after losing their best player to injury? Is there a chance for the newly-signed Hampus Lindholm to actually do anything on a crowded Anaheim blueline? How are Talbot, Dubnyk, and Rask doing so well? Is it time to rename the Habs' powerplay after one of its featured players? Hanifin or Matheson or Severson? And what about Carlson and the other slumping superstars in Washington? And Nashville!?  No. 120 - Werenski or Die | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:32:41

Afraid you've missed a single hockey news item or note from the past week? Or that you're misreading the numbers while trying to make sense of the outlandish player performances to date? Let this brand new episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast be your antidote! Pearson-mania all over again? Matthews a top ten scorer? Is there an impressive Canuck? Is Brouwer a more interesting human being than fantasy own? Do we have a Jack Campbell sighting on the horizon? Time to panic about Panik? Jimmy How-muchlongercanhepossiblykeepthisup? Boone no longer a boon for fantasy owners? Montoya earning greater share of the starts? Elan begins by going way off script to officially anoint the heir of his hashtag-team allegiance for this season, and then gets to a welcome group of outjuries that are shaking up depth charts, including a new opportunity for a returned St Louis Blue, and a way out of the doghouse for a Boston Bruin. Then it's over to injuries, where we draw particular attention to a new second-best power play option in Pittsburgh, weak goalie depth in Arizona and LA. Taking a tour of hot streaks around the league, Elan and Brian work to figure out when two overachieving Blackhawks may come down to earth, whether a Detroit blue-liner has hope of regaining his form of yesteryear, which ice time distribution quirks are favouring which Hurricanes, and whether Huberdeau's replacement in Florida is earning his keep on the top line. Elan also gets pretty sad about not having enough patience for a certain Leaf centreman to contribute to his roster, and gets very un-sad about a second line centre in Colorado. The guys also examine the meaning of roster moves made in Columbus and Anaheim, and line changing madness happening in Calgary, Nashville and New Jersey-- the last of which has Elan wondering whether there's more than one fantasy relevant Devil to be owned. The show wraps up with some early snoozer candidates, including this year's edition of a quality winger struggling in Vancouver, a non-Okposo in Brooklyn, a couple goalies struggling in Canadian creases, and an Atlantic PPQB with nothing to show for his efforts. Players discussed on this episode include Carey Price, Richard Panik, Auston Matthews, Jimmy Howard, Tanner Pearson, Zach Werenski, Shayne Gostisbehere, Mike Green, Jaden Schwartz, David Perron, Nail Yakupov, Patrice Bergeron, Ryan Spooner, Michael Stone, Alex Goligoski, Brayden Schenn, Matt Read, Tanner Pearson, Mike Smith, Louis Domingue, Justin Peters, Jeff Zatkoff, Peter Budaj, Jack Campbell, Patrick Sharp, Ales Hemsky, Brett Ritchie, Radek Faksa, Justin Schultz, Marc-Andre Fleury, Brian Campbell, Duncan Keith, Jonathan Marchessault,  Lee Stempniak, Victor Rask, Jeff Skinner, Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Elias Lindholm, Alex Killorn, Petr Mrazek, Nazem Kadri, Kari Lehtonen, Sergey Bobrovsky, William Nylander, Mitch Marner, Matt Duchene, Mikhail Grigorenki, Mikko Rantanen, Shea Theodore, Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug, Cam Fowler, Sami Vatanen, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Boone Jenner, Johnny Boychuk, Kris Versteeg, Troy Brouwer, Viktor Arvidsson, Kevin Fiala, TJ Brodie, Brian Elliott, Frederik Andersen, Loui Eriksson, Brandon Sutter, Andrew Ladd and more. * * * Download this episode, subscribe, and review us on iTunes!
