Pope Francis: “Now is the time to rebuild and to start afresh, relying on the grace of God, who guides the destinies of all individuals and peoples. You are not alone!” Romans 12:1 – “I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.” In Iraq, the Pope felt Jesus because he recognized the people offering their bodies as a living sacrifice! He felt that Jesus’ blood is in these places and In the Syriac Catholic Church Our Lady of Deliverance in Baghdad… where 54 people were killed by terrorists on October 31, 2010. Romans 12:14 [f]Bless those who persecute [you], bless and do not curse them 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil; Pope Francis: “But the response to war is not another war; the response to weapons is not other weapons.” Romans 12:18-21 If possible, on your part, live at peace with all. 19 Beloved, do not look for revenge but leave room for the wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 Rather, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” 21 Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good. Pope Francis: “The road to a full recovery may still be long, but I ask you, please, not to grow discouraged. What is needed is the ability to forgive, but also the courage not to give up. I know that this is very difficult. But we believe that God can bring peace to this land.”
