It's About Damn Crime

On this weeks episode, Brittney & Justine talk about two sisters whose lives were cut short by their own father. Amina and Sarah Said were beautiful, smart, young girls with their whole lives ahead of them. All they really wanted was to be normal American teenagers but their controlling father, Yaser Said, did everything in his power to not let that happen. They were born on April 4th, 1974 in Incheon, South Korea and because Sunny was the oldest by 5 minutes, their mother treated Sunny better than Jeena. This sparked a whole heap of jealousy and competitiveness between the two which eventually landed one of them in jail for 26 years for attempted murder. This week the girls sit down and talk about the lesser known Highway of Tears in Canada. This long 450 mile highway runs from Prince George to Prince Rupert, British Columbia. It's desolate with a bunch of logging roads, there's no public transportation or any street lights. From 1969-2011, twenty-one women have been reported missing and/or found murdered along this highway. Most of the victims were last seen hitch hiking and most of them were Aboriginal.
