Hockey Tonk Backstage takes a look behind the scenes of the sports and music scene in Nashville and everywhere with two people right in the middle of it. Justin is a reporter covering the Nashville Predators while also holding a day job at the Nashville Symphony. Lucy is a member of the Nashville Predators Energy Team and has worked at the Ryman Auditorium as well as been a part of multiple concert tours. In episode one, get to know Lucy a little more, how she got to Nashville and joined the Energy Team for the Preds. Then, they both share some fun venue-related customer service stories.

Justin and Glynne celebrate International Women's Day by welcoming Katherin Ellis, who covers the Boston University Terriers hockey team and Natalie Noury, who covers the University of New Hampshire hockey team. Ellis talks Preds prospect David Farrance and her journey in sports while Noury discusses Preds prospect Luke Reid and how she adapted her sports journalism skills during the pandemic.

Almost halfway through the season, the Preds will need a miracle to make the playoffs. Trade rumors abound Forsberg despite assurances from David Poile the franchise forward is not going to be traded. It's time for work to be done before the trade deadline though, as the Poile needs to accept this team is mediocre at best. With injuries mounting, the youth movement is getting a chance to shine. The one good thing this season has finally brought us is Eeli Tolvanen. The Finnish wonder is making his worth known on the power play and showing he was worth the wait.
