And we back! After a long hiatus the Bollywood Boys are back with a fresh review of the 1999 banger "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam". What would YOU do if Ajay Devgan stole your girl? Is Salman Khan a good actor or is his chest doing the heavy lifting? Is Aishwariya Rai a lanky icon? These and more burning questions are answered in this brand spankin new episode! @bwoodboyz @ilikeburdz @sawgrrr
Yes, this is not a Bollywood movie, and it's also not quite a "series". It can most accurately be described as "beyond trash". Our wonderful guest Taz Ahmed begs to differ and Saagar tries to placate us both. Check out this blatant ripoff of Veere Di Wedding (also terrible) and chime in on what you think!
This movie is low key based off the extraordinary story of billIonaire Dhirubhai Ambani but is some how one of the most boring movies on the planet? Truly a feat. Abhishek just can’t carry a movie don’t @ me. Soundtrack is fire tho all thanks to the untouchable AR Rahman. And although the movie sucks, this podcast is EXCELLENT.
Another Aamir Khan banger. Yung Zaira Wasim is brilliant. Aamir is a douchebag with a heart of gold. Raj Arjun plays a dad who scared the shit out of a couple of grown ass men in their 30s. Is this movie heartwarming and inspiring while also being problematic about Muslims? You know it! Still one of our best reviewed movies. Also hot take: "Sexy Baliye" is supposed to be trash, but actually slaps.
We, The Boys, dig deep as we discuss religion in our heaviest ep yet. There is a lot to digest including the meaning of life, piety, the curse of Anushka Sharma's wigs, and of course, alien romance. Is Aamir Khan's goofy performance enough sugar to make the medicine go down? Find out and hit play u lil enlightened bastards.
Here is a VERY special episode where we have a guest WHO WAS IN THE MOVIE - the luminous, iconic Sunil Malhotra (@thatsunil) aka Hemant aka Chandu (they’re interchangeable). Sunil gives us all the BTS scoop for diehard fans and joins us in a fantastic discussion about identity, indians in hollywood, penn masala, and more. This movie changed our lives in the early aughts and was the first time we felt seen on film. It made me think college was going to be exactly like this for me and all desi kids (and it was only kind of off). Are there problematic moments that are tough to watch in 2019? Sure. Is it still enduringly funny and endearing? Nope. Jk of course it is! Get into it ya bastards
