We have just uploaded the 28th episode of the AvPGalaxy Podcast. In this episode RidgeTop and I interview the amazing Markus Pansegrau whom most of you may know better by his screen handle, Locusta. Markus has been posting amazing CGI artwork on the Aliens for many years now and he was recently approached to provide the artwork for the recently released Alien: The Weyland-Yutani Report, an “in-universe” report written by the legendary S.D Perry.
This month RidgeTop, Xenomorphine and I are talking about Fire and Stone, the massive crossover comic event from Dark Horse. Fire and Stone marked Dark Horse’s return to Aliens/vs/Predator comics since the last relaunch in 2010 and the first release of a Prometheus related story. We talk the good, the bad and the ugly. We discuss the influence Prometheus had the first major comic release since the film was released, a return to form for gorgeous Aliens/vs/Predator comics and the downright strangeness that is Elden and the Accelerant and more.
When you mention Alien Resurrection you will almost unanimously get a negative response. Many people don’t like it and for a variety of reasons. I recently became quite fascinated with how a film with so many talented people involved in making it would turn away so many. And so OmegaZilla, RidgeTop, Xenomorphine and I sat down to discuss Alien Resurrection for the latest episode of the AvPGalaxy Podcast as we dissected the work of Jean Pierre Jeunet, Joss Whedon, Brad Dourif and the rest.
For our 25th episode of the AvPGalaxy Podcast RidgeTop, Xenomorphine and Corporal Hicks decided to take a look back to 1989 to have a look at another alternate sequel to Aliens – the original Dark Horse Aliens comic trilogy. We recap the initial trilogy which featured Hicks and Newt and eventually Ripley face against the Aliens again in a variety of encounters that take them to the Aliens homeworld and an Alien infested Earth. We talk about how suitable a sequel the trilogy was to Aliens and if there were any elements we would like carrying over to Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5.
With a new Alien film now official and on the way, AvPGalaxy staff members Corporal Hicks, RidgeTop, DoomRulz, Xenomorphine and OmegaZilla took to Skype to discuss Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5.
With this February seeing the 5th anniversary of Rebellion’s Aliens vs Predator (2010), we decided to take some time to play the game after all this time. Episode #23 of the AvPGalaxy Podcast sees administrator Corporal Hicks and global moderators Dachande and RidgeTop joined by community guest Shevvie as we discuss our thoughts on the game after 5 years.
I have just uploaded the 22nd episode of the AvPGalaxy Podcast. Episode #22 features AvPGalaxy staffers Corporal Hicks and RidgeTop, along with community guest Shevvie, taking a look back at the 35th anniversary year of Alien and discussing the multitude of releases that have come out in 2014. This includes Creative Assembly’s fantastically received Alien Isolation, Dark Horse’s Fire and Stone series and Titan’s novel trilogy (to name a few).
I have just uploaded the 21st episode of the AvPGalaxy Podcast. In this episode RidgeTop and I discuss what we did over Halloween which involved a trip to Aliens Encounters Halloween event for myself and the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights for RidgeTop.
Now that Alien – Sea of Sorrows has been out for several months and has been digested by fans, author James A. Moore and I sat down for a chat to catch up and have a more in depth talk about Sea of Sorrows for episode #20 of the AvPGalaxy Podcast:
I have just uploaded the 19th episode of the AvP Galaxy podcast. This episode sees myself (Corporal Hicks) and fellow staffer RidgeTop joined by community guest star Shevvie as we discuss the recently released Alien Isolation. Beware there are spoilers so if you haven’t finished the game it maybe wise to avoid this one. However, we do give spoiler warnings so you can give it a go.
