On this episode of Chicago Beer Pass, Brad Chmielewski and Nik White are cracking open a bottle of The First Five from Temperance Beer Co. as they chat about London. Not only did Brad travel across the pond for tasty London beers but Nik had the chance to experience a new London porter inspired beer that Goose Island released. As summer creeps in there are a lot of events happening in May especially with Illinois Craft Beer Week coming up! The guys will be covering a lot of these events and a couple of special interviews that should be hitting your podcast feed soon. Brad made a stop in Naperville this past weekend, grabbed some cans of their Haze and picked up this 4 pack for the podcast. As the guys knock back these cans they chat about the newly open District Brew Yards! District Brew Yards sits just north of All Rise and is the new home of Burnt City Brewing, Around The Bend, and Bold Dog Beer. This new space is lovely and needs to be seen for yourself, plus with potentially 40 beers on tap, it’s pretty likely that you’ll find something to enjoy.  Coming up this weekend you have some fun 420 inspired beer releases from Soundgrowler, Half Acre and a few others. Right off the heels of the previous episode where Brad shared stories from Ireland and Nik gave the lowdown on Uppers & Downers, the guys are back with a fresh episode of Chicago Beer Pass. On this episode, Brad and Nik share a bottle of Pome Hut from Half Acre Beer Company. The Pome Hut was one of their mixed culture beers that was released a few months ago. If for some reason you are blinded by the weekly Half Acre can release and you’ve been snoozing on the mixed culture bottles, well it’s time to wake up and grab a bottle next time you’re at the taproom. As the guys knock back this bottle they chat about the future opening of District Brew Yards. District Brew Yards is a pretty neat concept featuring beer from Around The Bend, Bold Dog Beer & Burnt City.
