The conversation about how guys like D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Ivica Zubac can impress potential free agent targets was so much fun yesterday, we decided to run it back, but with the remaining young guys the #Lakers have to offer. So, what can Brandon Ingram, Larry Nance, Jr., Anthony Brown and Tarik Black work on or show consistently to catch a superstar's eye? We discuss.

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/27/16-- Mailbag! Which Young Laker Is The Most Likely All Star And More | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2699

Last week's mailbag was so successful and so much fun, we decided to bring it back as a weekly show, at least/especially for the offseason. Questions include: - Which player of the #Lakers young core is most likely to make an all star team? - What should the end of the bench look like? - Can Brandon Ingram play the four? - Best defensive/offensive lineups? - Can a pregnant woman drive in the carpool lane? Wait, what? Like we said, Anthony and Harrison had a blast recording this, so enjoy. As always, rate, review, subscribe and spread the word.

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/26/16 -- Luke Walton Talks About D'Angelo Russell's Leadership; Should Randle Have Played in Summer League? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2224

A conversation started with Luke Walton appearing on Shaquille O'Neal's podcast and the discussion about those comments led to an impromptu debate on whether Julius Randle should have played in Las Vegas Summer League. Initially, Walton talks about D'Angelo Russell's leadership ability, as well as expectations for this young #Lakers team. Then, after Harrison and Anthony brawl off-air, they answer a couple questions, starting with the what kinds of players Randle and Jordan Clarkson might become, as well as which former Lakers they'd add to this roster if they could go back and grab that player in their prime. Enjoy, subscribe, rate and review!

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/25/16-- Starting Five Discussion & Harrison's Hot Takes, Brandon Ingram Edition | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2554

The top story over the weekend was Luke Walton's music choice on the volleyball court, so Harrison and Anthony discuss what the #Lakers might look like to start basketball games on their own basketball court. By our count, there are six guys with legitimate claims to the five spots. How might that work and what might any choice say about the team's direction? Then, as has become custom every Monday, Harrison wakes you up with his hottest takes and, while we don't want to overpromise on these things, Harrison brought so. Much. Fire. You won't want to miss this. As always, subscribe, rate, review and tell your friends!

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/22/16-- Trade Speculation and Ivica Zubac | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1861

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/21/16-- Julius Randle Impresses Gregg Popovich | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2287

The summers of D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram have been the main topics of discussion around the Los Angeles Lakers in recent weeks, but now it’s Julius Randle’s time to shine. The 2014 lottery pick revealed details about his offseason workout routine and was showered with praise by Gregg Popovich on Wednesday, so hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen decided now was as good a time to re-evaluate Randle as any. After arguing on a gondola about whether or not Larry Nance, Jr. was a better prospect than Randle moving forward just over a week ago, has the third-year forward’s time training with Team USA changed either of their minds? Anthony and Harrison discuss that and the rest of the latest from Las Vegas on the newest episode of Locked on Lakers. As always, if you enjoy the show, please subscribe on iTunes and give us a review too, if you're so inclined.

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/20/16-- Kevin Durant or Brandon Ingram? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1952

Kevin Durant has been particularly positive about the #Lakers and Brandon Ingram in particular. Anthony has some thoughts on what that might mean, given his stance in the offseason and actually catches Harrison by surprise! Aside from that, the guys talk about expectations for Ingram and D'Angelo Russell. Their situations are pretty different, and what might Durant's comments do for the former? Speaking of surprises, by the way, Harrison took advantage of Anthony's indifference towards reading in a ruthless game (another debut, by the way) of Durant or Ingram. Listen, subscribe, rate and review!

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/19/16-- USA Basketball Select Team Analysis | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1874

The #Lakers' summer did not end after Las Vegas Summer League. More than any other team in the NBA, they represented at the USA Basketball Select Team camp. D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Brandon Ingram will spend the next couple weeks playing alongside the best the NBA has to offer, which is a great thing both for the future of the entire organization and each player individually. Anthony and Harrison discuss what it all means, as well as some hopeful developments over the young core's time with #TeamUSA, plus which of the three has the best chance to eventually represent America at the #Olympics one day.

What was the lesson he learned above all others in that vaunted Vegas heat? You'll have to listen to find out. Subscribe, rate and review. Do it for Harrison's bday.

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/15/16-- The Latest on Russell Westbrook And Nance Goes Down in Last Night's Loss | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1970

On the Raining Js Podcast (also of the Locked on Podcast Network), Sean Deveney (Sporting News) predicted Blake Griffin would start next season on the #Celtics. Griffin is not Russell Westbrook, so is this a leverage ploy by the Celtics to lower the asking price from the #Thunder, or might the #Lakers find themselves in a better situation to land Westbrook? Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen discuss. In actual basketball news, the Lakers lost last night to the #Cavs, but more importantly, lost Larry Nance, Jr., to a broken hand. What does this mean moving forward, starting with tonight, as the Lakers face the #Jazz? It certainly isn't the end to Summer League the Lakers were hoping for.

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/14/16-- Should the Lakers Trade for Russell Westbrook? Jeanie Buss Gave Her Thoughts on the Team, Which is in Tourney Mode in Las Vegas | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2381

The talk around the #Lakers is about #RussellWestbrook. Should they trade for him now, or wait for free agency? Then, Jeanie Buss spoke about the state of the team, and what she said should make Lakers fans feel good about the organization's direction. Finally, the Lakers are into the tournament part of Las Vegas Summer League and it's hard not to think they're the favorites. Thanks for listening and make sure you subscribe and tell your friends about the show!

LOCKED ON LAKERS -- 7/11/16-- Is Larry Nance, Jr. or Julius Randle a better fit with the Lakers moving forward? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 934

The Los Angeles Lakers have certainly kicked off Las Vegas Summer League with a bang. The team is off to a 2-0 start to the tournament, with one easy victory over the New Orleans Pelicans followed by a nail-biter over the Philadelphia 76ers due to a game winning shot from D’Angelo Russell. A major factor in the Lakers’ hot start in the desert has been the play of second-year power forward Larry Nance, Jr. The uber-athletic four’s endless effort and activity have proven once again to be a perfect fit for summer league, and his strong play so far led us to ask the question: is he a better fit with the Lakers’ young core going forward than Julius Randle is? Locked on Lakers hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen are in Las Vegas for Summer League, and they could think of no better place to discuss this critical question than... a gondola at the Venetian? Take a listen:
