Locked on Lakers' hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen were joined by Jeff Garcia of Locked on Spurs, and the three discussed their memories of both players on and off the court, as well as comparing the organizations they were a part of for their unforgettable careers.

The conversation about how guys like D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Ivica Zubac can impress potential free agent targets was so much fun yesterday, we decided to run it back, but with the remaining young guys the #Lakers have to offer. The 2014 lottery pick revealed details about his offseason workout routine and was showered with praise by Gregg Popovich on Wednesday, so hosts Anthony Irwin and Harrison Faigen decided now was as good a time to re-evaluate Randle as any. After arguing on a gondola about whether or not Larry Nance, Jr. was a better prospect than Randle moving forward just over a week ago, has the third-year forward’s time training with Team USA changed either of their minds? What does this mean moving forward, starting with tonight, as the Lakers face the #Jazz? It certainly isn't the end to Summer League the Lakers were hoping for.

The talk around the #Lakers is about #RussellWestbrook. Should they trade for him now, or wait for free agency? The Los Angeles Lakers have certainly kicked off Las Vegas Summer League with a bang. The team is off to a 2-0 start to the tournament, with one easy victory over the New Orleans Pelicans followed by a nail-biter over the Philadelphia 76ers due to a game winning shot from D’Angelo Russell. A major factor in the Lakers’ hot start in the desert has been the play of second-year power forward Larry Nance, Jr. The uber-athletic four’s endless effort and activity have proven once again to be a perfect fit for summer league, and his strong play so far led us to ask the question: is he a better fit with the Lakers’ young core going forward than Julius Randle is?
