God’s ultimate goal in creation and redemption is to uphold and display his glory for the enjoyment of his people from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Jesus calls his people to the same humble service he so beautifully displayed in his life and death.

Every detail of the death of Christ happened according to the plan of God — even his betrayal and excessive agonies.

The global glory of the gospel shines all the more beautifully when it filters through the prism of diversity.

God will not lead you down a pointless path, but to a holy ambition that meets great need for the glory of Jesus.

Only the life and death of Jesus can explain pain and suffering. His suffering gives purpose to ours.

God is unquestionably sovereign over our suffering — even over Satan’s futile ploys to ruin God’s elect.

Suffering and sorrow exist so that the Son of God would be seen as supreme in his suffering and salvation.

Joy in Jesus is not optional. If Jesus is not your treasure, he can’t be your Savior.

The fight for joy isn’t an optional struggle for security or ease, but an essential battle to join Jesus on the way to gladness in God.

God’s wrath is more horrifying than we can ever imagine, but he will pardon only those who take refuge in the shelter Jesus provides.

Seeing and savoring the supremacy of God in Christ gives us the power to suffer for the sake of love and the power to strive for the sake of purity.

God designed our sexuality so that we might know him more. He means to guard our sex from being perverted.

God wills all things. But that does not mean he wants all things in the same way.

Only the mighty and merciful power of the gospel can break the forces that bind suffering souls in darkness.
