Welding Tips and Tricks Podcast

We received an email from a listener asking if we could do a topic on the issues you have running a small business out of your home garage. Things like noise problems and neighbors. We felt this could be something that a lot of people listening could relate to so we dove right in. If you've been thinking of setting up your home shop you'll want to pay attention to this one for sure!

For this episode we had a great time chatting with Nick Bezates from Bezates Construction and @Bezatesn on Instagram.  If you're not following Nick on Instagram you're really missing out!  In this episode Nick really drops some great information about planning for jobs and the importance of having backups a long with much more!  

For this episode we thought it would be fun to continue the conversion we started during a bonus After Show episode for our Patreon members.  We were talking about Material Prep and how important these simple steps can be.  Their very easily stepped over and as soon as you strike the arc you know if you took the right steps or not.  Hopefully you'll be able to come away from this episode with a few tips that will improve the end results of your welds dramatically.  Enjoy!

For this episode we thought it would be fun to tie into Jody's 2 part 6G videos presently posted.  If you're wanting to take a 6G test or think you might have one coming up at some point you'll want to pay close attention to this one!  Jody and Jonathan really drop a lot of great tips on how to prepare your self to pass this test!  

For this episode we had a great time chatting with Jason Marburber owner of Fireball Tool.  We've been wanting to chat with Jason for awhile now about his great tools so we figured now was the time.  Jonathan was out of town during this recording so we thought it would be fitting to have JD Brewer back on with us to chat about the Fireball Tools that he uses all the time and how they have helped him become more productive for Apex Welding. 

For this episode we had a great chat with Chris Reader owner and operator of Veteran Welding Company in Alberta Canada!  Chris reached out to us to help spread the word about the mission of helping other Veterans get back into civilian life using some of the training received while in the military and deal with other things such as PTSD.  If you have served in any way we want to say Thank You! This weeks topic is about overworking and getting burnt out.  We've all been there and it's really just apart of being a welder in general.  This topic came to us from an email and thought it would be a great time to share some of the things that we like to do to overcome these times.  We hope you enjoy this and it might help you get through some hard times you might be dealing with or times that might come in the future!  

We've had a bunch of requests for a topic episode about welding tables so we figured it would be a good time to chat about just that. This topic is like many others, very deep, so we may touch on things we've mentioned in the past but it's all good. We hope that you find a few nuggets of information in this episode or possible light a fire in you to upgrade to the next level.
