The Elephants and The King of the Mice

Bagh Aur Bagla is a story from Panchatantra which features a tiger and a crane. A bone is stuck in the throat of a tiger, and a crane helps the tiger in removing it. When the crane asks the tiger for a reward, the tiger refuses. He goes on to tell the crane that it is the crane's good fortune that he did not eat the crane.
