41 : The startup school podcast for young entrepreneurs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:42

Join us on The startup school podcast for young entrepreneurs Bill Aronson the author of The Lost Art of How to Find Things: Freedom from forgetting, shares his thoughts on the 21st century challenge and exponential change. In this our first startup school podcast for young entrepreneurs Bill shares his insights an education that combines academic and business skills to help you, your family and community. As a tsunami of change is coming. Over the next two decades, artificial intelligence will transform the service sector and professions in the same way that automation did to agriculture and manufacturing in the 20th century. Half of today’s jobs will disappear and new industries will spring up. What other schools are doing? Most schools today are preparing students perfectly for a job in 1970, despite the overwhelming evidence that a traditional education is no longer enough. You still need academic qualifications of course, but these become no more than the table stakes for entry into the market. You’ll need much more than a good degree to thrive over the duration of your career in an evolving world. The world’s first school for teenage entrepreneurs The Cambridge International School, based in Cambridge, England, is the first in the world to inspire, equip and nurture teenage entrepreneurs. While many business schools and universities offer courses in business and entrepreneurship, we are the first school to provide this opportunity to 16-19 year olds. You will study for a minimum of three International A levels while running your own business. To make this possible, we will train you in accelerated learning techniques including the memory training mentioned in this book. Action based learning The program is practical and real. You will work alone and in teams, running real businesses. You will go through the whole business cycle from generating business ideas, pitching for seed capital, to taking the company operational. Are you worried that you might fail? Success is born of failure. We expect you to fail. We want you to fail, because there is no better way to learn. Fail fast, fail often. Philosophy The school is for students who want to do well and do good. You want an education that combines academic and business skills to help you, your family and community. You want to make a difference. Your next step may be university. However, you may find that you want to continue to run your own business, be a social entrepreneur, or use your new-found entrepreneurial skills as a passport to enter the global workforce. It’s up to you. Cambridge International School         Background on the school The Cambridge International School has been running for ten years and is part of the International Schools Partnership with fifteen schools all over the world. This year the school is extending to provide education for students who are 17-18. Summer School Summer school starts July 11th and goes through to August 5th. You can come for a week or two. Each week you will participate in a Google Design Sprint. On Monday you will create an idea. By Friday you will have a practical solution. You will be working with real companies like Dyson on real business issues. The cost is TL 30 a day. What does it cost? A good question. This year only, because the school is just starting out, you can attend the summer schools for STL 30 per day which includes meals and accommodation and collection from Heathrow if you are coming from overseas. Furthermore, we have a number of scholarship programs for students attending. The bottom line. We are looking for students who are funny, perceptive and courageous, people who are prepared to back themselves. If that sounds like you, we will work together to find a way for you to attend.

Download the app now in over 150 countries Download the travel app for all iPhones from the iPhone 5 and up and all iPads Download the travel app for all Andriod Phones and all Andriod tablets  Festival of Voices transforms our towns into singing cities every July. As Australia’s premier celebration of the voice, we attract thousands of singers, choristers and music lovers, for the chance to hear harmonies soaring in concert halls, theatres and public spaces across the state. The Festival is proud to bring some of the most respected singers from across Australia and overseas to our shores. For eleven years we have presented a remarkable program of performances and – uniquely – vocal workshops run by critically acclaimed artists, creating a Festival experience like no other. A few years ago Brian Eno suggested that those moments when you sing collectively you stop thinking about ‘me’ and start thinking about ‘us’. This thought, outside of the undeniable artistry contained within, is at the core of our Festival. When we say we make this island sing we believe that we are not only providing an abundance of talent, light and warmth to our winter months but we are also bringing communities together to celebrate those moments of ‘us’. https://festivalofvoices.com

37: Join Cullen on the travel podcast around the islands | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The travel podcast with Cullen Join Cullen as he starts up the EATT Magazine travel Podcast and begins an intriguing island journey… Cullen travels light. His adventures begin in a cab to the airport, where he checks in with a single bag, podcasting gear and a thirst for fine whisky. On arrival, he finds himself immersed in a Festival of Voices. Thousands of singers, choristers and music lovers plan to make the whole island sing, filling the streets and concert halls with music, workshops and a grand winter bonfire.  He finds out what makes people come from all over to the Singing City, and meets some of the people who make this magic happen. Your host’s journey contines as he explores the local whisky meeting local makers, keen to explain the passion and distinctiveness behind each bottle. Cullen has many questions, and is very curious about how the unique climate and pristine waterways  turn grain into liquid gold. Come with him as he tastes, talks and listens his way around some rather special distilleries, which are putting these islands firmly on the world whisky map. Savouring the bracing fresh air and lingering with a glass or two. Things get interesting outside the Information Centre, but a passing band of wolves comes to his rescue. A few red wines later, Cullen boards a boat to his next island destination. Travellers gather round to share their stories, and ancient tales of white animals loom in the mist. A great walrus rises from the ocean depths, and photographs are taken.  The journey ends as it begins with an unusual twist yet to be revealed. Master your memory online course discount
