 Nuts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:11

We will focus on the latest debate and talk about the many mistruths (i.e. lies) that spewed from the mouths of scary possible future Presidents like Ben Carson, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. The folk s at factchecking.org were busy with this one. We will further discuss such inane comments as Marco Rubio’s statement that “welders make more money than philosophers.” In actuality, according to 2014 Labor Department statistics, the median salary for a welder is $37,420 while a philosophy professor commands $63,630. BTW this is the first time ever that welders or philosophers were mentioned in a Republican Presidential debate! More disturbingly, we will discuss the lies and deceit that many of these folks spread when they open their mouths. Especially troubling was the statement by Donald Trump that: “Taxes are too high, wages are too high.” In fact, in constant 2014 dollars (adjusting for inflation), the average hourly wage in the U.S. in 1964, was $19.18. That same hourly wage in 2014 was $20.67. In addition, since 2000, usual weekly wages have fallen 3.7% in real terms among the lowest paid 10% of workers and 3% among the lowest 25%. Trump, the sideshow barker who says the first thing that comes into his head and claims it to be the truth, also wants to deport 11 million illegal aliens and uses the 1950’s Eisenhower program called “Operation Wetback” as a guide on how to do it.

Bullying-Why We Must Care and Help End It! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:46

The subject of show three will be bullying, who it effects and how widespread it is in the U.S. Who is bullied and how many instances are unreported? What age group does it impact the most? With bullying much more publicized in 2015 we will seek answers and solutions: 1. What is bullying? Discuss risk factors, warning signs, and statistics. 2. Who is at risk of being bullied and who are likely to be bullies? 3. What are the warning signs to look out for in children and teenagers? 4. How do laws vary from state to state? 5. Discuss who is often bullied: shy kids; smaller in stature kids; loners; LGBTQ youth; minorities at schools; handicapped kids; new kids; kids who have problems at home; overweight kids. 6. The Face of Bullying,” read personal experiences of bullied kids and loved ones of those kids. 7. Talk about personal experience with bullying. Detail how it came about and discuss feelings at the time. 8. Read about kids who are bullied and comment on the incidents and behaviors of those involved. 9. How you can act and make a difference!

 The Sideshow | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:38

Welcome to "it's Time to Talk & Act!" The program will debut on Thursday, October 22nd at 8 PM EDT. With so many subjects to tackle, it's hard to pick a first topic. That being said, we will jump right in with a look at the crazy rantings of some of the many (too many to be sure) Republican candidates for President. We will select and discuss some of the more insane comments and beliefs of intellectuals like Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal, Rand Paul and of course my favorite, Mike Huckabee. Sadly we would need a week of non-stop broadcasting to even scratch the surface of just how completely off the charts nuts the Republican field is. But join us as we digest (try not to eat too much before you listen) to a bunch of people offer their thoughts and answers to the issues of today. We will discuss their opposition to gay marriage, climate change, a woman’s right to choose even in the case of rape or incest (sometimes both), and much more. 1. A look at the accomplishments of President Obama and the amazing progress the country has made while the Republicans scream that he has been a disastrous President. 2. A cavalcade of inane quotes from each candidate to begin the show. 3. The latest poll to show where the candidates stand. 4. Ben Carson on gun control; the Pledge of Allegiance and God; gay rights; and various plain dumb statements. 5. Ted Cruz: How did this man become a United States Senator from our third largest state? 6. Donald Trump-The king of stupid comments 7. Marco Rubio-A woman has a right to choose…or not! 8. Mike Huckabee-Looking for a Theocracy. A candidate who runs on one issue and appeals to the worst in the homophobes. 9. Bobby Jindal: A homophobe from Louisiana. 10. Rand Paul-More hate on gays from the right wing. We will wrap up the show with an overview of the insanity and offer our insight into who is the craziest and who is the most dangerous.
