In this show we wonder if the United States does indeed still have “Open Arms” to refugees fleeing the genocidal maniacs from ISIS and ISIL. We will discuss the refugee situation and the alarming reactions from Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and many others. We will also look at some statistics and try to show just how xenophobic the Republicans are being. The questions we ask are very simple. Are we going to succumb to hate and fear of people who may have a different religion that we do? What does America represent? Are we willing to compromise or eliminate our very values because we are afraid of our own shadow? Join us as we look at this hot button issue and attempt to restore sanity to the discussion.

In this show we will discuss the over-arming of the police in many departments throughout the country. We will see if the police need military-style weapons and look at the types of weapons and how many have police nationwide acquired since 9/11. We will look at specific incidents between police and citizens that have occurred recently. We will discuss the incidents, look at the facts and also at how citizens, families and the police have dealt with them. It seems likely, although statistics are hard to come by, that questionable police shootings of civilians has not gone up substantially in the past few years. The number of incidents caught on camera by people on the street, along with the number of cameras in police vehicles and now on police officers themselves, however, has skyrocketed. Previously it was the word of the police against other people including bystanders and family members of victims and of course the police viewpoint was nearly always believed. We will look for answers and ways that we all can improve relations with the police and get rid of officers who abuse the system and kill or maim innocent people. We will also give you information on what to do when you encounter the police at home or on the road.
