OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME Objective is to obtain all six characters on the wheel. Each character represents one of the categories: Art, Science, Sports, Entertainment, Geography and History. First player to obtain all six characters, wins that match. Each match will have a maximum of 25 rounds. HOW TO OBTAIN CHARACTERS Obtain characters by correctly answering three questions in a row, or land on the special section on the wheel. In this case, the player will choose between challenging the opponent for one of their characters, or simply answering a new question for a character of choice. There's also a seventh category, represented by a crown. When you fall in it, you can also choose between a challenge or answering a question of the topic of choice. In case of a correct answer, the player gets the character. CHALLENGE Both players need to have at least one character to compete in a challenge. The challenger will choose a character of his or her own to bet, and one from the opponent’s list to compete for it. Both will be presented with the same six questions, one from each category. The player who answers the most questions correctly will be the winner of the challenge! If the challenger is victorious, he will get the character from the opponent, who loses it. If the defender wins, he will retain his character. The challenger loses the character he bet. In case of a tie, the defender will receive a bonus question from a random category that will decide if he wins or loses the challenge. EXTRA SPINS Each new player starts with 3 complimentary extra spins. Each extra spin lets the player re-roll the wheel in order to get a new category of question. Once used up, players can get more extra spins by requesting their friends through facebook, or buying more from the in-app store. END OF THE GAME First player to obtain the six characters from the wheel, wins the match. If no player wins before reaching round 25, the one with more characters will be the winner.  TED Tutorials – WIN X Basics | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:21

Are you prepared for the next new version of Microsoft Windows 10. This will be a turtorial of WIN X Basics. How to Upgrade to Windows 10 - Microsoft. It will be released on 29 July 2015. Windows 10 is much like Windows 7 with the added features of Windows 8. If you don't like the Metro style apps and like the feel of Win7 you can turn off Win8 features and just keep the upgraded Win7 features. Since this is a FREE Upgrade if you do it during the first year for Win 7 & 8/8.1 users, why not do it. You have one year from the time Windows 10 is available to take advantage of this limited time offer. After that you will have to pay if you want to Upgrade. Windows 10 comes in 2 versions of Home and Pro for the average user. For Win7 or 8/8.1 users the upgrade will be Home for most users and Pro for Windows Premium & Ultimate users. Full Retail will Windows 10 Home will be priced at $119 and Windows 10 Pro will cost $199 or $99 for Upgrade from a previous version. Windows XP or Vista users may have to pay for OEM version which is Windows 10 Home for OEMs/system builders would cost $109.99, and Windows 10 Pro, $149.99. Upgrade is NOT available for XP & Vista users, only clean install to WIN X. These prices may change as Microsoft may change over them over the next year. This tutorial will help you from reserving your upgrade copy to the basics of everyday use. You will still have a start menu and Windows icon button as in Win7. The Taskbar is pretty much the same also, with File Explorer, Cortana, Windows Store etc... When you click on the Windows icon in at bottom left corner will bring up the new start menu, similar to Win 7 but with live Win 8 style live tiles included. If you are someone like me you can remove these from the start menu. Just right click on each tile and choose Unpin from Start. You can then resize the start menu to your needs. You can add these back later if you want. Right-clicking on any open space on the menu and choosing Personalize to change colors and intensity. The rest of Windows 10 is much the same as Win 7 so you should have no trouble getting your way around. Unless you have software to install you can add apps from the New Windows Store. If you need to learn anything else I would go to one of the Microsoft or References links below to learn more. Upgrading: Reserve - Click on the small Windows icon found at the right end of the taskbar. - Click “Reserve your free upgrade” in the app window. - Enter your email if you want a confirmation of this reservation. - All set. There’s no obligation and you can cancel your reservation at any time. Install - After July 29, 2015 you will be notified once Windows 10 is downloaded. Install it right away or pick a time that’s convenient for you. Go to the FAQ(frequently asked questions) Q&A(question and answer) if you don't see the reserve window. Features: - Windows 7 menus plus Windows 8/8.1 live tile metro apps. - Touch, Type or Write based on your device. - Starts up and resumes fast. - More built-in security to help keep you safe. - Designed to work with software and hardware you already have. - Microsoft Edge, an all-new browser. - Cortana voice assist (for things like search, shopping, reminders, reading etc...).  TED Tutorials – ATGNI | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:37

(ATGNI)All The Gear, No Idea. A photographer who has lots of camera equipment but doesn't know what half of it does. A bit of an Uncle Bob, in fact. You may be one of those or NOT. This tutorial will attempt to give you some of the basics for what to do with your photos and how to do basic processing with free software. Whether you use a (DSLR)digital single-lens reflex camera, Camcorder stills or your Smartphone to capture a photos you might want to edit them at some time. Maybe just change the format, size or correct something. Doing this with simple and easy to use software is not that hard or something to be afraid of. The couple of choices I will discuss work only for Windows, but the basic concepts can work with any software or operating system. Don't let editing your photos intimidate you, lots of features but you probably will not use but about a tenth of them in everyday use. Just have fun! Keep The Elder Divide Ad free! Become a Patron supporter @ Patreon.com/TheElderDivide Some digital photo basics you must understand first. Your files on a DSLR, Camcorder or Smartphone are stored in a folder under (DCIM)Digital Camera Images directory or management. This can be on your device local or removable storage. Individual images follow a standard naming structurer you can read about at the DCIM link. You have things like Canvas size or resize, two different things under Image on software menu. Then you have (DPI)dots per inch, small blocks of colors that build up an image. The higher the better if you want to edit or resize later so images don't look grainy or blurred. Things you might want to do: You don’t necessarily need to apply every step to all of your images. - Rotate to straighten the horizon. - Crop to highlight the important part of the photo. - Fix under/over exposure also contrast. - Convert to black and white (greyscale) if needed. - Repair any damage. - Retouch and/or soften skin tones etc. - Add layers if you want to. - Add text and/or a frame. - Resize to suit. - Batch Convert size, file type or naming with InfraView. and many more but this is the basics... Paint.NET every feature and user interface element was designed to be immediately intuitive and quickly learnable without assistance. Features: - Simple, intuitive, and innovative user interface, even handle multiple images easily with tabs that display a live thumbnail of the image instead of a text description. This makes navigation very simple and fast. - Performance, the fastest image editor available no matter what CPU or platform. It starts up quickly and is responsive to every mouse click. - Layers, usually only found on professional software, it forms the basis for a rich image composition. Similar to a stack of transparency slides that form one image. In Paint to do some of the basics start with File>Open>yourfile. - Say you want to crop out an area of the image. On the menu Tools and select Rectangular Select, then place the cross-hairs at start of area to crop out and drag showing dotted area that will be saved, you can reselect if you need to change by just clicking anywhere on image, then do the steps again from cross-hairs. Once you have what you want then Image>Crop to Selection, you should now see only the area you wanted. You have a final chance to change with from menu with Edit>Undo. - To change the size of canvas area say you want to put an image in the center of a larger area or different shape. From menu Image>Canvas Size> you can then select what you want to do for size, position etc.

 TED Podcast Extras – STIMband | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:35

The Tremtex team of 5 students at John Hopkins University devise a headband-shaped tool for self-treatment with Noninvasive Brain Stimulator that May Ease Parkinson’s Symptoms in a Patient’s Home. This team on June 9, 2015 won the $5,000 second-place prize in VentureWell’s BMEidea national design contest. The invention earned first-place honors in the People’s Choice Award competition at Johns Hopkins’ Biomedical Engineering Design Day 2015. Also a finalist in the Rice University Business Plan Competition. The prototype STIMband, has not yet been tested on humans, but it is viewed as a promising first step toward helping Parkinson’s patients safely relieve their own symptoms at home or elsewhere without going to a hospital or doctor’s office. This is a promising device for those that drug treatment does not work or diminishing effectiveness over time. The STIMband gives an option instead of the more invasive brain surgery implanted leads that are connected to a pulse generator. This surgical method is very expensive and takes up to 15 hours to complete. With use of the STIMband requires only about 20 minutes daily and is battery powered for portability. Seams like a great solution once further testing and FDA approval is given for such a device. Just shows the type of research students are doing that will benefit the Elders, Seniors and Boomers crowd.
