John is a really terrific comedic actor. He's made over 50 TV appearances and is best known starring as Jimmy DiMeo in the ABC show, Speechless and for playing Barry Kripke - the lisping physicist - on The Big Bang Theory. We have a lot of fun talking about everything from working as a copywriter and quitting to be an actor, his start at UCB Improv Theater, working with great improv actors- Rob Corddry, Brian Huskey and Seth Morris, how improv training is so helpful in sit-com acting, and the affect starring in Speechless (with it's focus of inclusion of those with disabilities) has changed the way he looks at the world. Justin is a terrific stand-up based in NYC who's appeared on Comedy Central and hosted his own show on CBS. Dave is a writer who authored a book with Justin called, "The Language of Dogs." A very cool conversation about Justin's background and life, comedy, how Justin came to discover he had natural ability with dogs, how he and Dave worked together to help turn Justin's passion into a business training and fostering dogs with Dave and ultimately a hit TV show on CBS called, "Dogs In The City" that Justin hosted and Dave was a big part of. A really interesting look into a couple of very unique guys, as well as animal behavior and dog training from a perspective you haven't heard before.
