Episode 122: Not exactly a slow news week | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:41:00

In the "First place Mets are in first place" edition, Chris and Jeffrey have a lot of news to cover. The Mets need a new third baseman, maybe. The Mets rotation is no longer six pitchers long, definitely. Players are coming off the DL, probably. Also, Jeffrey got lost in a state park. That is relevant somehow. Next, Chris talks to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com about these stories and more. Then, we answer your e-mails and Chris' computer craps the bed, so Jeffrey has to do the IFK Goteborg update (with a bonus Sheffield Wednesday update) all by his lonesome. Eventually the Mets will make a draft pick too, but not before we finish (though likely before you listen to this).

 Episode 121: 2015 "Draft" "Preview" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:12:00

In the, "Uh, I guess we should probably do a draft preview edition," Jeffrey and Alex realize the draft is on Monday. (Well Jeffrey, Alex probably knew that all along). The Mets don't have a first round pick, but that doesn't stop us from wildly flailing around trying to figure out what they might (and also shouldn't) do. We also review the 2010 draft class, read aloud from the Amazin' Avenue Annual, and briefly forget about Jacob deGrom (again, Jeffrey).

 Episode 120: Too many e-mails (too many e-mails) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:43:00

In the "Greg Karam came back withe Miller Lite tallboys" edition, Jeffrey and Steve (but not Greg) have a lot of e-mails to answer, so answer them we do. We cover all your trade scenarios (and a few TRAID scenarios), consider the Mets infield alignment, ponder Lucas Duda's platoon splits, and Jeffrey gets cranky about scouty stuff.  We also await our robot ump overlords and pick our favorite non-Met baseball teams. Then it is time for an IFK Goteborg update and a bit too much pro wrestling talk probably.

 Episode 119: #RIP2015Mets | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:32:00

In the "David Wright has gone to live with a nice family at a farm upstate" edition, things are looking a little blue at AA Audio HQ. We soldier on though, and Bryan, Steve, and Jeffrey have some thoughts on a Wrightless future, a six-man rotation, and Terry Collins' job security. Then we answer your e-mails and Jeffrey and Steve get sucked down multiple pro wrestling alleyways. We do find time to discuss Kevin Plawecki's struggles, debate how good Jose Bautista is at baseball, and pour one out for Cesar Puello, wherever he is.

Episode 118: The Savannah Sand Gnats and cold bats, v.2015 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:07:00

In the "Sympathy for the Marlins?" edition, Steve, Aaron, and Jeffrey take on the chaos in Miami, the ontology of Noah Syndergaard's breaking ball, and where the heck the 2015 Mets are going to find some more offense (HELLO HELLO MR ALDERSON ITS CARLOS GOMEZ). Next Toby Hyde of Mets Minor League Blog joins the show to discuss this year's edition of the Savannah Sand Gnats, but we mostly just swap Luis Guillorme doing crazy things at shortstop stories. Finaly we wrap things up with a whole lot of book recommendations and the podcast triumphantly lifts a trophy

Episode 117: Thor and more (Also, Moore) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:53:00

In the "Ragnarok >>>>> Thorsday" edition, Steve and Jeffrey just get thrown out there to see if they can podcast. Sio we tapdance a bit on Noah Syndergaard's debut (mostly because Steve was at an ROH show), and discuss what might possibly be the matter with Jacob deGrom. Next, because the show wasn't going to run long enough as it was, we go over your twitter topic suggestions, so get ready for a lot of pro wrestling, and some complaining about Terry Collins. Then, Jeff Moore from Baseball Prospectus joins the show to talk about the Mets prospects of note in St. Lucie (mostly just Robert Gsellman). Finally, we wrap things up with your e-mails and an extended Svenska Cupen final preview. Come on you blue and white angels!

Episode 116: Well it could be (and has been) worse | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:35:00

In the "Not the Mercury Mets" edition, Jeffrey and Bryan take stock of the 2015 Mets after a bad week. But hey, the Mets are still in first place, so we can't get too down, right? On the other hand, we have to discuss the Mets defense again. Then, Jeffrey gets annoyed about the service time manipulation around Noah Syndergaard and Steven Matz, again. Then it is time for your e-mails. Jeffrey finally addresses the Jenrry Mejia thing, and the podcast quickly goes off the rails. We get back on track after a certain popular jingle and wrap things up with a pro wrestling e-mail. Sounds about right.

 Episode 115: The B-Mets and Squee! Mets! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:00

In the "Well, we're here" edition, there is more talk about the 2015 Mets. This podcast has long been concerned with Carlos Gomez, and Jeffrey is interested again. Greg does not entirely understand what consitutes an extreme pro wrestling stipulation, but that can be forgiven we guess. We also stil don't know if the Mets are good, but the attitude towards this season versus "building a sustainable winner" may have to start changing. Oh, and Jeffrey went to Manchester, NH and watched some bad Double-A baseball in the freezing cold. There was good coffee though. We also answer your e-mails and things get a little dark, but they perk up for your weekly IFK Gotenborg update.

 Episode 114: Are the Mets...good? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:17:00

In the "Baseballs: Please stop hitting Mets in the arm" edition, Jeffrey, Steve, and Aaron take on the important questions of our times, like "Are the Mets...good," "Is Hansel so hot right now," and "which Met would you go back in time with to kill Hitler?" There are also multiple Champ Stuart e-mails, and we discuss the likelihood of Wally Backman, Marlins manager. Plus there is the usual soccer stuff, and a survey of the year in music: 2000.

 Episode 113: Live at Foley's and #weirdbaseball | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:05:00

In the "Live at Foley's 2: Podcast Harder" edition, Jeffrey, Chris, and Greg are Live at Foley's. And podcasting (harder). After a brief soujorn into terrible 90's music, it's time to preview the Mets minor league affiliates, or at least drool over the St. Lucie roster. Next, Ted Berg from USA Today (?!) joins the show to discuss the magic of small sample sizes, Jeff Francoeur, and Taco Bell breakfast. Then, Jeffrey butchers the Shortstop Avenue Audio theme after three beers, but we discuss Wilmer Flores' woes and reconsider some recent e-mails. That should be it, but the Mets played an incredibly weird baseball game last night, so look for the hidden track where Greg and Jeff discuss weird defense, weird pitch selection, and weird baseball.

 Episode 112: A happyish recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:42:00

In the "No-han" edition, we recap the one game the Mets have played so far this year. And it was good (mostly!). Jeffrey waxes about BARTYOLO, Greg picks out a pet for Wilmer Flores, and we consider the future of a Mets bullpen sans Jenrry Mejia. There is also an extra long Swedish soccer segment to help pad this out, because again, the Mets have only played one game. But hey, there is an extra long live show to look forward to this weeked at Foley's on West 33rd in Manhattan!

Episode 111: Opening Day can't come soon enough | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:00

In the "#sandysmess" edition, Steve and Jeffrey discuss the benefits of camel milk, shake shack express lines, and the Juan Lagares extension. We also debate Rafael Montero vs. Dillon Gee, celebrate the return of Cesar Puello, and answer eight of your e-mails. There is also of course an (abbreviated) Swedish soccer update and a lot of Wrestlemania talk. I guess it's Armbar Avenue Audio this week, but hey, it's also the last podcast before actual Mets baseball, you guys!

 Episode 110: Amazin' Blevenue Audio | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:39:00

In the "The Assassination of Oliver Perez by the Coward Jerry Manuel" edition, Jeffrey and Aaron discuss all the new left-handed relievers the Mets have acquired. We break down both deals and discuss Steve Schreiber's MS Paintz skills, Alex Torres' haberdashery, and what the Mets gave up to shore up the 2015 pen. We also wonder if this is a precursor to a Dillon Gee trade (so far, not so much). We'll be back later in the week with your e-mails and our take on the Juan Lagares extension.

Episode 109: The podcast broke Jeffrey's Mac again | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:56:00

In the "On tape delay in some (all) areas" edition, Jeffrey and Greg discuss which Mets could have a future music career, debate the merits of various second baseman not named Daniel Murphy, various Opening Day pitchers not named Matt Harvey, and preview the Mets 2015 backstops. They also find time to report good news from Sweden and Sheffield and create a Mets Old Timer's game lineup. All of this happened a very long time ago, because, well, see the episode title.

 Episode 108: This is a sad podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:37:00

In the "YARD GOATS!" edition, Jeffrey and Chris actually recorded before the announcement of YARD GOATS, so this podcast is mostly full of sad things (unless you are a Swedish soccer fan). We touch on Zack Wheeler's torn UCL, discuss our most gut-punching moments as a Mets fan, and consider Wilmer Flores, Mets Opening Day shortstop (again). There are some happy things, we suppose. David Wright hit a big dong, Lucas Duda will probably be good again, and Ronny is an Amazin' Avenue reader apparently (and has some damn stylish glasses). Oh, and definitely stick around for a discussion of Aderlin Rodriguez batting practice laser shows.
