Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sin and purify us from all unrighteousness.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you

Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin

And if Christ has not been raised, our parching is useless and so is your faith

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us
