Binge Watchers

Summary: A late night show for your ears since 2013. Started by a pair of film school friends that have reunited for one epic podcast after another. Binge Watchers get it? We talk about movies. We sometimes talk about our own experiences being on Hollywood's D list of weirdo indie filmmakers trying to catch a break before a total break down. But, hey we will always have this podcast we made, right? Until the digital crash and all digital info is zapped bye-bye, but wait, we are getting off track and this podcast description is getting way too long. Hosted by a writer and comedian, John Travis joined most-always by video director. Nicky T. Sometimes by their friends. And an entertainer or musician stops by every episode or so often to talk shop, tell a great story, or impart some crazy inspiration. Binge with us!

 Stargate: SVU | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5189

John gets delayed in Salt Lake City, Dave and Nick finally get to air their beef between the two podcasts, Alicia Hollinger (wonderlandart.biz) joins in. She is a digital-pin-up artist, writer, and has held various jobs in the Film/TV industry, she brings up her "cyber leg" because she had a recent accident, it gets weird early, lucid dreams along the way and the theories of active participating, wormholes, wormhole drinks with sprite, vodka, and/or Evan Williams, "oneironautics", astro-dynamics??? What??? Alicia makes a "winehole" to drink while talking about wormholes...Oh, the movie discussion for the episode---That's "Stargate vs. Contact." She thinks visual effects artists have rendered wormholes accurately to her dreams. She got into sci-fi art by attending Comic -Con 2009 and falling in love with Stargate TV. John explains that James Spader is not qualified to decipher a Stargate, but is a scientist of sexuality. They discuss how both movies are a Quest for God, but Alicia disagrees. Tom Skerrit would never die in real life...refers to Contact. Alicia keeps bringing it back to Stargate television series and her love for Canadian humor. Dave finally joins the conversation to bring up rape activity. Lots of rape. And Nick learns that all he has to do to be a high roller in the Hollywood Hills is age poorly but grow in material wealth and try to give away his fancy clothes to Hollywood bunnies. Why are there so many comedy imports from Canada? The weather? Nick decides it is "Starshit the Series." Dave pitches Stargate: SVU. Dave tells the story of being the rape guy. Some actresses rescue cats. John likens Alicia's art to references from Galactic Terror, Blade Runner, and Barberella. Alicia pitches her "Quantum Party Girls." They all weigh in on the existence of alien life. Roswell. The math formula that supports a yes/no answer. "Everybody in the raptist community believes in UFOs." Theories of what an abduction really is. Alicia brings up the sprinkling of cosmic dust and bacteria theory. John brings up the monkey-pig origin theory of human evolution. What, did they mention Gene Roddenberry, yep. Nick looks more and more like an alien. Eventually, John and Nick get around to airing their grievances against Platinum Dune's attempt to reboot "Friday the 13th" without Jason, John is mad that he got called a "douche bag" on Facebook, and they bring up how a crappy filmmaker got his film on Netflix...They consider giving up and reading poetry by the Bay. Briefly, John and Nick think they should sell a show to the BBC, and the future of binge watching is pulling movies out of the air and downloading it to your brain. And Alicia went into the future via dreamscape to 2037. There is even time to mention friends stabbed by directors, dead studio bosses, and "Dallas Buyer's Club." BTW, "Back 2 the Future" heavily referenced. 'Cause it is cool. At 1 hr 19 min abt there, Nick goes through a wormhole and misses 4 seconds of time...spooky.
