The Episode Scandal Episode - A Door Marked Exit; Season 03x10 During the winter finale of Scandal, A Door Marked Exit we review everything that happened on this episode of Scandal.  It was good and I have a breakdown of some of the things we discussed on the episode. (long silence) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o9VKojRukY     The Breakdown Favorite speech in the entire episode.  So here, we broke it down during the recap but these are the twists and turns of this winter finale (I know, something a little different from what I usually do). Sally murdered Daniel Douglas, Cyrus helped her clean it up.  Leo is mad because she didn't call him to clean up her mess and now it's going to wreak havoc on the fact that he wants her to run for president.  She's firmly back in the Grant Administration's camp because of what Cyrus has done for her.  Mellie is a tiger, she always knows when to pounce and she's like...look chic, you're with us now and don't you forget it. Fitz, as usual is caught up in something going on with Olivia and is busy outmaneuvering Rowan.  He doesn't even know his right hand has helped cover up a murder and his wife has just did something else to try to secure his re-election as president.  No more snakes/weeds or anything that would put a hitch in their plans, in their garden anymore (other than Daniel Douglas' dead body.) James is manipulating Cyrus in order to gain information from the White House so that he can give information to David.  David already told him to go suck it but he's persistent.  Cyrus is afraid to be alone and old and wants to hold on to James but he pretty much broke that trust when he set James up to be a side piece to Daniel Douglas. Rowan has had his head cut off and Jake is now the head of B6-13, for now at least.  We'll see how this plays out in the remainder of season 3.  This episode was outstanding and has so many possibilities that we can explore for the second part of season 3. We haven't forgotten about Huck and his anger towards Quinn and Charlie loving the fact that he's getting regular nookie and no longer being alone.  And Harrison may have more than a 3 line per episode contract for the remainder of the season!  Dabby is doing quite well and OLAKE and OLITZ have some interesting things going on.  Olivia now has two men in love with her that have "power", let's see how it all plays out.  I can't wait!    Music this episode  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzR51V82tnY The Panelist Langstan Smith is a native of Indianapolis, IN. I was hooked from day one, scene one of Season One’s Episode 1: “Sweet Baby”  it was obvious that this show had its own cadence and pace. You either got on and held on or got “bucked” off before the ride even started. Just as we were learning who Olivia was and what she did for a living, (best introduction monologue EVER!) Shonda Rhimes took a baseball bat and collectively bitch slapped the entire United States as she revealed the scandal of all scandals. “Sweet Baby? Swee… Sweet Baby?” Why is Olivia on the edge of tears talking with the President? Ummm…Oh Heyall naw! With the first shocking reveal, Shonda said, “SCANDAL, BITCHES!”,

So this week we had the YOLO episode of Scandal and the A Team and I talked it to death, honey. The Drama Everything's Coming Up Mellie This week's episode of Scandal came with  dose of insanity as Big Jerry raped Mellie, Quinn (or rather Lindsay to my point of thinking) runs away from the scene of a crime she commits, Olitz gives us a moment of angst and so much more. Quinn is inducted into B6-13; Charlie has Quinn over a wire.  He indulges her in her quest for danger and she gets all caught up in that Wonderland life.  Isn't it convenient that she fell into his trap so easily? Abby gave a surprising reaction to the fact that Liv's father is the boogeyman and it's all roses for her from there.  Despite her prickly thorns, she gives Liv a much needed hug.  I fell in love with Abby right there.  That's the way to be a friend, Abby.  Mellie gave a heartfelt and empathetic performance on the Oval Office's seal.  It was the most moving monologue of the episode.               The Guest Langstan Smith is a native of Indianapolis, IN. With the first shocking reveal, Shonda said, “SCANDAL, BITCHES!”, dropped the mic and left us all snapping and screaming like we were at a Spoken Word event and Shonda had just rocked the mic that night. Dayum! But it was actually Season One’s, Episode 6: “The Trail” that sealed the deal for me. Shonda Rhimes had in a single episode explained how it all began and revealed who was trying to bring the president down and why and then BAM! The scissors! Dafuque!? No! Gideon!? WTH!?…in walks Quinn…Sploosh! Coffee and bagels everywheeeeere! (True Gladiators will understand the shorthand)  We now knew most of the relationships and how they began just from that one episode. Little did we know the next episode was the last for the summer and I watched those seven episodes like Shonda had said the first seven hits are free, but after that you gotta pay me every last Thursday night you got. I don’t go anywhere. I’m hooked!

The Icarus Episode So the panel is back tonight and better than ever! We discussed the season 3, episode 5 of Scandal which was Icarus.  Wings were melting and wax was flying all over this episode and we were here for it!  It was great.  I am loving the fact that they are now serving meat with the potatoes on Scandal and we're getting more and more back story from all of the characters!  Harrison finally has a reason to show up to work, because I think for 2 years, they've been giving him pity money.  He's going to work now as they give us tidbits of his back story.  I'm excited because personally I looking at a cute doll suit on a man is not my idea of entertainment. This episode was great.  There were so many questions that I came away with for future episodes.  By the way they set the whole thing up, I knew Mama Pope was intrinsically tied to Fitz and whatever Rowan had going on with B6-13 back then.  I wonder if Rowan talked to Olivia's mom with as much disdain as he talks to every one else...?  Something to ponder. This was the rumored #OctoberSurprise they kept hinting at since episode two. The More Cattle Less Bull episode and the last one have totally endeared themselves to my #Gladiator fan heart. The Say Hello to My Little Friend episode of Scandal was the best episode thus far in Season 3. I finally enjoyed an episode without being convinced of its merit.  There where a ton of things going on that made it exciting and I cover them (mostly) in this review.   Check out the audio and the video for  more.
