Dee Tutt’s Savîle Tropical Rum Cocktail is back | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 11:09

Dee Tutt, Founder of DTRS Enterprises and Creator of Savîle Tropical Rum Cocktail joins Enterprise Radio. In the summer of 2020, Dee re-launched her brand, bringing a unique pre-mixed cocktail option to the market for consumers looking for a “taste of the islands.” This episode of Enterprise Radio is in conjunction with the Beverage Industry Channel. Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Dee Tutt discuss the following: * What are your goals for 2021 and how has your approach to achieving them changed since the pandemic?  * What has been your biggest challenge as a minority female brand owner in the spirits industry? * Half the battle of bringing a product to the masses is securing distribution. Where are you still looking to secure distribution and what are some tactics you’ve used to make connections and secure partnerships? * What did you learn during your re-branding process and what were some of the biggest challenges in finding your brand’s voice? * Stamping a product all-natural, gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan-friendly isn’t as simple as just using or not using certain ingredients, they come at a cost. What made you decide that being able to market your product as such was important, especially since it’s an alcohol product which immediately comes with its own health stigmas? Dee Tutt has always loved to host a good party. Since 1983, it was all about bringing those closest to her together to connect, celebrate, create memories and “cheers” with her homemade rum concoction. The homemade rum drink quickly became a guest favorite and in 2020 she debuted the latest premium version: Savîle Tropical Rum Cocktail. The original Savîle Tropical Rumtini came to market in 2015. Three years later it sold out from distribution and rather than go back to the production line, Dee decided to take the invaluable feedback she received from Savîle fans to focus on the next iteration before putting it back on shelves. The goal was to create the perfect cocktail that is ready-to-drink, with no aftertaste, proudly made to be all-natural, gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan-friendly.  Dee didn’t start in the spirits world, but her journey to get here is full of grit and grace. After nearly 4 decades of making subtle changes to her recipe, Dee believed she created the perfect taste. Encouraged by family and friends Dee decided it was time to bring her beverage to the masses. And thus, the brand that consumers know and love called Savîle was born! Savîle is a drink for all audiences of legal drinking age and portrays what Dee stands for—an all-natural, clean brand, that can be shared by all. Just pour over ice and you’re ready to get the party started! Let Savîle take you away! TIP: The concept of being “1% better each week” is one that I’ve learned from athletes I’ve worked with. Very few people can succeed in any field based on talent; instead, it’s grinding work and gradual improvement that help us evolve to be our best. Paddy Spence is a 28-year veteran of the natural/organic industry, having served as Kashi’s first head of sales and marketing before founding SPINS, the leading market research firm for the natural products industry.  Cutting out sugar 19 years ago led him to purchase Zevia in 2010, a line of zero calorie sodas with no artificial sweeteners. Zevia has grown rapidly and is now distributed in more than 30,000 retail outlets across the US and Canada. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Spence was President of Levlad, a personal care manufacturer known for its natural brand Nature’s Gate. In 1995, he founded SPINS to introduce sophisticated marketing information services to the rapidly growing health and wellness industry.  Spence served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for eight years, tracking the sales of more than 300,000 natural and organic products, before selling SPINS to private investors in 2004. Prior to founding SPINS, Mr. Spence served as the first Vice President, Sales & Marketing for the Kashi Company from 1992 to 1995, a manufacturer of natural cereals based in La Jolla, California.  How Has COVID-19 Affected the Criminal Justice System in New York? | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 18:27

Kendra Monte, Co-Founder at D’Emilia Law, a criminal defense law firm in New York City who provides the highest level of criminal defense for their clients joins Enterprise Radio. This episode of Enterprise Radio is in association with the Legal Corner. Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Kendra Monte discuss the following: * What are the effects of COVID-19 on the criminal justice system? (high-level) * What are the dangers/pitfalls for clients in this new reality? * What should someone look for when searching for representation in this new climate? * What is the role of your attorney in this new criminal justice system? * What do you think will be the lasting effects that COVID-19 will have on the criminal justice system? With almost 20 years of prosecutorial and defense experience, Ms. Monte brings empathy, savvy, and a keen instinct to all her cases. She has been in criminal defense practice at D’Emilia Law for the past decade. She is deeply committed to serving her clients and always fights for the very best outcome. Kendra Monte has established a career as one of the most competitive lawyers in New York State. During her near-decade as a leading prosecutor for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, she continually demonstrated determination and grit in and out of the courtroom when handling misdemeanor and felony matters. Now, defendants benefit from her knowledge of criminal law and the constant pursuit of justice in all sorts of serious criminal matters—from drugs and weapons charges to white-collar crime and tax evasion. “Put me on a side and I will fight to the very end,” Kendra Monte said. “I’ve always believed that defense attorneys are perhaps most responsible on a daily basis for upholding our Constitution. They make sure that, at the very least, prosecutors are held to the highest standards. Most importantly, they protect their clients’ rights and we take great pride in doing just that.” Those ideals are some of the many reasons why her transition to criminal defense was so natural. Knowing that prosecutors often held the cards following an arrest, Kendra felt a true desire to help those who were in need and to be a voice for the voiceless. She founded D’Emilia Law in 2015 with her husband and partner, Paul D’Emilia—who was widely regarded as a trailblazing prosecutor in New York State—to better realize their vision of how criminal and trial law should be practiced. They have held fast to that vision especially as it has expanded into new practice areas. “One of the advantages of coming to a boutique firm like ours is that we really do treat you like a family member,” she said. “We become involved in clients’ lives and we develop a genuine trust and bond that we hold sacred. Clients tell us repeatedly that they chose us to represent them because of this dynamic. This is truly rewarding in itself, as it is what we continually strive for.” Ultimately, Kendra’s contributions have led to the strengthening of a firm that prides itself on its tenacious advocacy and building a record of success from the other side of the courtroom. By her own admission, Kendra is perhaps more competitive than ever, because now the businesses and lives of clients and their families on the line. “I have always gravitated toward trial and defense work because of what comes with the territory—high stakes and a lot of pressure,” Kendra said. “The work is challenging, but there is nothing more satisfying than coming back with a result in my client’s favor.” Ms. Monte is admitted in all New York State courts,
