This week, the Pocket Gamer Podcast crew gather to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the App Store. In honour of this momentous occasion, we pick apart Pocket Gamer's Top 10 iOS games of all time. We also provide the usual burst of mobile news, reviews, and hands-on analysis.

So here we are. Finally. It's a new dawn. It's a new day. It's a new life for me. And I'm feeling good. As of this moment, the Pocket Gamer iPhone and iPad Gaming Podcast is dead. Welcome to the Pocket Gamer Podcast. In this new version of the show we will no longer restrict ourselves to discussing only iOS news. From now on, everything related to mobile gaming is fair game.

This week, I sit down with Pocket Gamer's most internationally flexible correspondent, Jon Jordan. After yet another week spent schmoozing some of the biggest names in mobile gaming, he's armed with tales of debauchery, excess, and colour-matching.

This week's podcast just so happened to fall on regular contributor Keith's birthday. Once we've called him old and reminded him of his every-increasing proximity to the grave, we take a look at the first game to emerge from Rovio's new Rovio Stars publishing wing, Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage.

With the E3 hype machine churning out a near constant flow of annoucements and trailers, Peter, Keith, and I have our work cut out for us this week. To get us in the mood, we pick apart Apple's newly revealed iOS 7. Keith's got the beta, and gives us his hands-on impressions. Peter and I look at the pictures and make cooing noises

It's a three-hander this week, with podcast stalwarts Jon and Keith joining me behind the mic for some pre-E3 chatter. The debut trailer for Modern Combat 5 is our first topic. However, it isn't long before we're trashing physical iOS joypads and definitely not mentioning Call of Duty.

With Keith sunning himself in a tropical paradise somewhere, it's left to Peter and I to keep the airwaves alive with the sound of iOS chatter. Things get off to a slightly lary start when we get all worked up over the surprise (sort of) appearance of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on the App Store.

This week, Keith welcomes me back into the Pocket Gamer podcast booth with his trademark snorty laugh and quiet contempt. To celebrate our reunion, we puzzle over Microsoft's Xbox One reveal, and its disappointing lack of mobile crossover info.

With troublemakers Jon Jordan and James Gilmour away, it's left to muggins here to steer the good ship Pocket Gamer through the tumultuous waves of podcast chat. Happily though, we swing past North America along the way to pick up super special guest, and JRPG expert, Matt Diener. He's a brilliant guest, but we do find out that he might also be a werewolf. Which is somewhat troubling.

With the cat (James) away (on holiday), the rats (Jon, Keith, and myself) will play (do a podcast). I'll level with you, I kind of lose control of the show from the off, so while there's plenty of chat about RuneScape coming to tablets, Disney games on mobiles, and unexpected IAPs, we also fly off on odd tangents about chocolate covered peanuts, Ronnie O'Sullivan, and something called a 'Herbie'.

This week, Peter, Keith, and I circle the wagons to unpack the latest developments in the world of iOS gaming. With Peter Molyneux's box finally ready to spill its secrets, we chat about the end of Curiosity (and whether Harry could survive a hardcore mode). After that, Keith speculates on what changes Apple might have planned for iOS 7, and we take a look at Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles.

Ready your ears for a four-pronged bombardment of iOS info, as Jon, Peter, Keith, and I find ourselves in the same chat room at the same time (for once). To celebrate this rare meeting of mouths (!) we kick off by carelessly repeating all the latest rumours about the next iPhone. Will it recognise your thumb print? Will it do the dishes? Will it be filled with jam?! We find out. Sort of. A bit. Not really.

With Keith and Jon away doing business-related things in a business-related environment, Peter and I mic-up to spit a week's worth of pure, uncut truth into your earholes. Specifically, I shock Peter to his very core by revealing the top 10 most expensive in-app purchases in iOS games. Warning: this content may erase your faith in the decency of humanity.

This week, Peter, Keith, and I call for order in the Pocket Gamer podcast court, as we try to get to the bottom of the most pressing iOS-related cases. First in the docket: we explore why The Office of Fair Trading is threatening to take legal action against potentially unlawful IAPs.

Following an extended leave of absence, intrepid international reporters Jon and Keith join me in the podcast booth for a special post-GDC round-up.
