2013 NBA Draft Podcast: Joe Kaiser and a farewell to this past years draft | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Here it is. Thirty-Nine episodes later and the 2013 NBA Draft Forecast is over with the final edition of the podcast wrapping up the event. It was a lot different starting at the top than most expected so podcast frequent Joe Kaiser of ESPN Insider joined me for a complete wrap-up. In the case of interviews and special occasions there could be a few more throughout the summer, but if not this will be the last episode before kicking off the 2014 NBA Draft in a few months. Check the site regularly for updated profiles, news, notes, and content as the 2014 Draft started the minute Adam Silver said, "and with the last pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.... Janis Timma." Here is the podcast: 2013 NBA Draft Podcast Episode 36 with Joe Kaiser Follow Joe on Twitter @JoeKaiserSports Thanks for helping grow the brand of the NBA Draft Podcast here on NDI through outlets like itunes and TuneIn Radio this year.  2013 NBA Draft Preview Podcast: Part One featuring EuroLeague Adventures and Kevin Pelton | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It is hard to believe that we are about 48 hours before David Stern puts the Cleveland Calaviers on the clock, but we are here. To get ready for Thursday's draft we had a Mega-Podcast with the folks at ELA and ESPN's advanced stats guru Kevin Pelton. Nick and Sam from EuroLeague Adventures kick off the show and we always drive about 100 mph like any European enthusiast would. Very much an Autobon pace. We ranged on topics including the top three international prospects (by all accounts) in Sergey Karasev of Russia, Dennis Schroeder of Germany, and Rudy Gobert of France. After the top three we delved into second round values that NBA fans are going to want to know about and which prospect Sam sees playing until he is 42 hitting shots, racks on racks. Make sure to check out the Darko Meter Pelton joins the conversation after to discuss his WARP column and the advanced stats that have shown trends over the years in the proper evaluation of prospects. How important is age? What is the most telling stat for big men? How does WARP hold up over the years and what are the trends with it?  2013 NBA Draft Preview Podcast: Part Two featuring Joe Kaiser of ESPN Mocking the Draft | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Part two keeps is lighter on the evaluation, but Joe Kaiser of ESPN.com and I broke down the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft (minus trades and such) for what we expect to see tomorrow. We came to a consensus in the Top 5, but after that alternated picks based on what we are hearing as well as the teams needs. Some surprises, but I was more surprised at how similar this turned out to the final Mock Draft that will posting on NDI tomorrow morning. How did the Mock Draft turn out according to Habbas and Kaiser, click to hear. Click here for Part One... Part Two: 2013 NBA Draft Preview Podcast Part Two Follow Joe on Twitter: @JoeKaiserSports

2013 NBA Draft Podcast: Breaking Down The International Withdraw Deadline | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The international withdraw deadline came and went with only two "big names" deciding to stay in Europe versus stay in the 2013 NBA Draft. Among others, Dario Saric (Croatia, 1994) and Mouhammadou Jaiteh (France, 1994) were the top names to decline the allure and luster of the NBA. Overall 15 total prospects withdrew from the 2013 NBA Draft and the class thinned out a bit, but still has the strength at the top while running fairly deep into the second round. The other 13 prospects were Adin Vrabac (Bosnia, 1994), Affia Ambadiang (Cameroon, 1993), Artem Pustovyi (Ukraine, 1992), Axel Toupane (France, 1992), Bogdan Bogdanovic (Serbia, 1992), Djorde Drenovac (Serbia, 1992), Linos Chrysikopoulos (Greece, 1992), Louis Labeyrie (France, 1992), Matias Bortolin (1993), Nemanja Besovic (Serbia, 1992), Philipp Neumann (Germany, 1992), Viktor Gaddefors (Sweden, 1992), and Walter Tavares (Cape Verde, 1992) Here is the full Podcast: NBA Draft Podcast Episode 34 Breaking Down The International Withdraw DeadlineRelated Blogs

2013 NBA Draft Podcast: Amin Elhassen Breaks Down The Front Office Perspective | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Back to the NBA Draft Podcast here with an interview with former Phoenix Suns front office member Amin Elhassen. He was with the Suns for six years through the Mike D'Antoni era, Steve Kerr regime, and into what was the Lance Blanks and Lon Babby before leaving the team. In this edition of the podcast we discuss the smoke-screen nature of trade rumors this time of year, the fluidity of the draft itself, and how the inherent value of what a number one pick is supposed to look like. In a draft that is not laden with superstar talent the perspective of the class as a whole is skewed. Check back in next week for another edition of the NBA Draft Forecast.  Rudy Gobert 2013 Prospect Profile Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Last summer a picture emerged on Twitter of Rudy Gobert and his fantastical 7-9 wingspan that was confirmed at the 2013 NBA Draft Combine (7-8.5) this month. He is a one of a kind prospect thanks to his size, length, and athletic ability for a center in a league where the talent pool for the position is very shallow. Gobert has the potential to be a great defensive center, but is also a vastly underrated offensive player with his efficiency shooting over 70% from the field in nearly every setting. He is a raw prospect that will take 2-3 years to develop strength, offensive skills, and the ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor. One thing Gobert already does is shoot the ball effectively from the free-throw line to the point where he will not be a liability late in games from that standpoint. In the podcast we discuss his basketball roots, growing to his current height, French basketball as a whole, and being an underrated commodity in the upcoming draft.
