NBA Draft Insider » Podcast show

Summary: It is hard to believe that we are about 48 hours before David Stern puts the Cleveland Calaviers on the clock, but we are here. To get ready for Thursday's draft we had a Mega-Podcast with the folks at ELA and ESPN's advanced stats guru Kevin Pelton. Nick and Sam from EuroLeague Adventures kick off the show and we always drive about 100 mph like any European enthusiast would. Very much an Autobon pace. We ranged on topics including the top three international prospects (by all accounts) in Sergey Karasev of Russia, Dennis Schroeder of Germany, and Rudy Gobert of France. After the top three we delved into second round values that NBA fans are going to want to know about and which prospect Sam sees playing until he is 42 hitting shots, racks on racks. Make sure to check out the Darko Meter Pelton joins the conversation after to discuss his WARP column and the advanced stats that have shown trends over the years in the proper evaluation of prospects. How important is age? What is the most telling stat for big men? How does WARP hold up over the years and what are the trends with it?
