The expansion is a result of the move of the North Wastewater Plant to the South site. The North plant will be closed and demolished after the South plant expansion is finished. Cost of the move is roughly $40 million dollars that is aided by state and federal funding. The project will start April 30, 2012 after construction bids have been awarded March 30, 2012. Further updates will be done over the course of the construction process.
