Inner Guide Empowerment show

Inner Guide Empowerment

Summary: Inner Guide Empowerment is a Heart-centered, Purpose-driven show to bring healing and positive energy to individuals and communities throughout the world. The show is hosted by Brad Simkins, MA, LCMC. Inner Guide Empowerment is more than a radio show... we are creating a radio community, for people to come every week to find inspiration, healing, enlightenment, and to increase the tools in their toolbox. When Brad decided to start up this radio show, it was really clear to him that there was a lot of pain, separation, fear and hopelessness that many felt throughout our planet.... Recognizing that this pain, fear and hopelessness was a symptom of our disconnect - with ourselves, our Inner Guide, our connection with source (God, the Universe...) and with one another, Brad wanted to dedicate this show to empowering people by reconnecting them, starting with their inner guide. Brad’s goal is to bring people together in a worldwide talking circle, and create a container of safety to support and encourage conversations with them, focusing on their dreams, their passions, their fears, their self-defeating behaviors, and how we can support them in creating the life of their dreams. Brad Simkins has been a counselor, family therapist, executive director, professional parent, advocate and healer for more than thirty years. His specialty is working with people in their home or office, to provide them the optimal setting for safety and trust. Brad has discovered that when people are in their home environment, it is easier for them to integrate the skills they learn into their daily life. Brad has an unconditional positive regard and dedication to support you, our listeners, in your healing and well being. He has a strong belief that we all are the expert of ourselves, eventually becoming our own best counselors. Brad’s approach is that we grow and learn through our relationships with others. It is by this in-depth exploration of the intense positive relations

 Cultivating Compassion ~ Catherine DeMonte | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:25:00

Cultivating Compassion: How to deeply love, honor and respect yourself and others We treat people like we treat ourselves. When we are kind and gentle with ourselves, learning from our mistakes and moving forward and our self-talk is kind, then we are also able to remember our connection with others and treat them with the same compassion. What are ways we can cultivate compassion in ourselves and for the world? What are ways we can come from gratitude, even the rough times? How can we come from Love vs. Fear? Catherine will give us techniques to implement immediately to these ends and lead us in a meditation. Catherine DeMonte is a Marriage, Family, Child Therapist in Beverly Hills & Calabasas, CA. Her primary goal for her clients is to help them live full, authentic, satisfying lives. One way to do that is to appreciate the beauty in life, as well as turning the rough spots into lessons. The tough things are they ways in which we can see what needs tending to and where wounds are. When wounds are healed, Catherine believes we feel freer and happier and less triggered in life. Her unique blend of spirituality and psychology helps clients understand the bigger picture of why things happen in their life and not feel victimized by them. She is equal parts empathic listener and proactive teacher in her therapy, giving clients tools to use immediately to resolve the conflicts in their relationships, families and lives.

The Four Languages of Bonding | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:33:00

Love is our innate nature - to feel lovable, and to give and receive love with ease and confidence. The stunning divorce rate of over 50% of marriages, with another high percentage that is highly unsatisfied in their relationships, reveals most people don't know how to love. Carista Luminare will explain the latest neuroscience research on attachment styles, and show how our early attachment styles in childhood profoundly affect our adult intimacy bonding patterns. There are 5 Keys to understanding love and creating the relationship you want: 1) Learn how your "relationship attachment style" drives you to behave the way you do 2) Learn how your partner's attachment style interacts with yours - and sabotages your relationship 3) Learn how to use the 3 non-verbal "Love Languages" to cut through arguments and problems 4) Engage in partner practices that deepen your security and amplify your passion 5) Discover how to disrupt destructive patterns and create the deep, loving bond you've always wanted Making your relationship work isn't rocket science. It's neurology! When you were a child, your experience with your parents programmed your adult relationship dynamics. But you’re not stuck with those patterns. With awareness and practice, you can swiftly re-wire your body, mind and heart so you can have the relationship you want. If you’re unhappy in your relationship, or you have a string of unsuccessful attempts, you can turn it around and enjoy a happy and fulfilling bond with your partner - but only if you have the keys in your hand. Learn the latest discoveries from neuroscience about the science of early childhood bonding, and specific practices that will re-secure your love bond, and expand your ability to be intimate -- whether you are in a relationship or not at this time.

2013: Staying Heart-Centered through these era- changing tim | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:31:00

The times are changing and it can be scary, an astrological map of this time can help us understand what’s happening, and help us work with the times more comfortably. We’re right in the middle of a bridge made of metamorphic transits that transports us away from the pre-2008 era towards a new era that coalesces around 2015. Uranus squares Pluto seven times, seven beats of its drum, between 2012 and 2015 (6/12, 9/12, 5/13, 11/13, 4/14, 12/, and 3/15) leading us through a bardo-like in-between time, shifting the ground underneath us. And this year a Saturn/ Neptune trine reminds us never to lose our way to the well of our memories, spirit, and vision. It’s not time to sweat the details. Instead we need to constantly clarify our internal goals and use those as guideposts when opportunity and challenge arise. It is time to stay on track, stay in the heart, and guide the metamorphosis. Come walk with us through the map of the major astrological aspects of the year and explore how to roll with the changes. Heather came of age as an astrological counselor in the 70’s and 80’s; she worked with Human Dimensions Family therapists in a supervised team working with multiple generations. She moved to New Mexico in the late 1980’s to walk a friend through her last few months , and fell in love with the landscape, spiritual presence, and the vibrant astrological community. Her practice thrived and she was voted Santa Fe’s best astrologer in the late 90’s. Heather moved to NYC in 2001, a few weeks before 9-11, in response to a series of dreams and a call for her mate’s work. There was so much ambient pain and searching angst she wanted to search for more tools to offer her clients and so went back into an Interfaith seminary. After 6 years the couple longed for the wilds again and moved to North Dakota to teach at a tribal college, and learned far more than they taught. They moved to the twin cities in 2009.
