A new year and at last a first mix to share. Over the ten years I have lived in Asia, the one time of year I have come to love is monsoon season. This year was one of the most potent displays of mother nature I have experienced and indeed inspired the selection of tracks that match all the moods and feelings I have as the rain approaches and falls. Some cracking new material in the mix including the spellbinding Nibiru by Liz Cirelli and Lost Highway by Dusky. Kicked off by the awesome Guy J this is a true blend of beautiful Deep House, rolling Deep Techno with splashes of Deep Tech and Progressive thrown in for good measure. Nor is it 80 minutes of top 10 Beatport hits. Instead, what I've tried to do is to mix up (coherently, hopefully!) tunes that represent the range of music that got me out of bed last year. This ranges from slightly melancholic and musical 5am type of material, to more hypnotic and techno influenced tracks, and to more dance-floor friendly tunes you may well have heard me play at Digging Deep last year.
