Over the last few months I have wandered back through my collection of music and buried within it are so many hidden gems - B-sides, remixes, pimps & freaks, tracks that should have been played out and tracks that have had a huge influence on how I play. So after a few months of digging and another few weeks of fiddling - here is the final recording - a full length 90 minute journey featuring the weird and the wonderful from the last few years. As techno and deep house continue to find truly inspired common ground, this late night club mix really reflects the style of deep house & techno I am enjoying right now. 125BPM from start to finish, rolling bass lines, complex percussion and beautiful melodies all intertwined to great effect. A partial recreation of the closing set I played at our 3rd Birthday party at Home Club in Singapore in November. Replete with slightly dodgy mixing and deliberately full of crowd pleasers. I Managed to resist the temptation to replicate the self indulgent filter sweeps and dodgy eq-ing from the night but this is still probably one to listen to loud when you need a pick me up. Not really Sunday afternoon fodder.
