Brannon is joined today by Chris Pinto, Justin Peters and Mike Gendron. First up was Chris Pinto to talk about a December debate that Brannon helped to set up between Chris and James White and to be hosted by Chris Rosebrough. What will this debate be about? Chris explains today. Topic: Justin Peters joins us for a few minutes to report that the church Gateway, that Glenn Beck has reportedly attended, in addition to the Mormon Temple,  recently hosted a meeting that included Benny Hinn. Why is this of interest and what does it say about the Word of Faith Movement and the New Religious Right that seem to have completely merged? Topic: Mike Gendron reports on the recently comments by Pope Francis concerning homosexuals. Is Pope France actually a bad Catholic? Is Jesuit Francis simply embracing the dialectic of the Jesuits? Topic: We take your calls.

Twisted Scriptures Twisted Theology (Program #5): Brannon starts the program by answering the question from a caller from program #4. The question was if Joel 2 is referring to God’s spirit being poured out on all flesh or on just the children of Israel. Joel 2 appears to be written specially to the children of Israel as we read in Zechariah 12:10. There are several interpretative challenges in Joel 2 and theologians disagree as to whether Joel 2:28-31 occurs during the tribulation or during the millennium. Brannon explains why he believes it is during the tribulation. However, the Joel 2 text is clear that this is not today. Thus, don’t let people use Joel 2 to justify visions, dreams, and extra-Biblical revelation as being for today. Verses: Mathew 8:16-17 is often used by the Word of Faith proponents to claim that healing and salvation go hand in hand. Hear an audio of Benny Hinn making such a statement. Why is Benny Hinn and the Word of Faith wrong and what is the correct interpretation of Mathew 8:16-17? Verse: I Peter 4:6: This passage is used to say that people that have died will get a second chance at hearing and responding to the gospel. Why is this a twisted interpretation and what is the correct interpretation? Verse: Psalm 105:9: This verse is used today as an attempt to silence the critics of false teachers. However the text is speaking of prophets and today we don’t have prophets; that office is closed. Topic: We take your calls.

Twisted Scripture, Twisted Theology (Part #4) Verses: Luke 10:27 and Matthew 22:37-40. Are Christians to love themselves? Verses: Joel 2:28-29. These verses are often used by individuals to claim that they are receiving visions from the Lord today and that they are prophets. What is the Day of the Lord? Understanding the meaning of this technical langurage helps us understand that this is not for today. Why do many scholars believe this passage is speaking to the nation of Israel? Verses: 2 Peter 3:10, I Thessalonians 5:2-5 and Matthew 24:43 are often used to describe the rapture as coming as a thief in the night. Why are these verses not referring to the rapture? Verses: 2 Peter 3:8. This verse is often used to declare that God could have taken 6,000 years and not six days to create everything we see in Genesis 1. Why is this an incorrect use of this passage and what is the context? Verse: Psalm 46:10 is a verse that is often used to justify contemplative prayer. Psalm 46:10 has nothing to do with praying. Verse: I Kings 19:9-14 and the still small voice of God that speaks to Elijah is often used by people today to say that they too need to hear this still small voice of God. Why are these verses not applicable to today’s Christians? Topic: We take your calls.

Dr. Jimmy DeYoung joins Brannon to discuss these topics: Topic: What is the generation that Jesus is speaking of in Matthew 24 that will see the thing Jesus is discussing? Topic: In Matthew 24 the verses that speak of two being in the field and one is taken is also used to describe the rapture but they are not verses about the rapture but about judgment as Dr. DeYoung explains. Topic: Talk of resuming the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks may be pre-mature, as both sides are pushing back at John Kerry's plan. Topic: Israeli Defense Force Chief of Intelligence says Syria is becoming a center for Global Jihad at Israel's northern border. Topic: We take your calls.

Twisted Scripture, Twisted Theology (Part #3) Verse: Hebrews 12:1-3 is often used to say that people in heaven are the cloud of witnesses watching us as we run the Christian race. Why is this not correct and what is the true meaning of these Scriptures? Verse: Philippians 4:13 is a verse used by athletes and others to declare that they can accomplish a certain goal or objective. However, what is the correct meaning of this verse and why does it not apply to winning a football game or getting the corner office? Verse: Matthew 7:1 is perhaps the most misquoted verse and it is often used silence those that are speaking Biblical truth. One way we know this verse is not a prohibition against judging includes the fact that in this very chapter, Jesus Himself calls certain people pig, dogs, and wolves in sheep’s clothing. Verse: Romans 8:18-23 is a passage of Scripture that is used by the New Apostolic Reformation to speak of a special generation that will be spiritually evolved and establish God’s kingdom and that creation is groaning for the revealing of the sons of God; which they declare will be this special generation. Why is this interpretation completely wrong and what is the meaning of Romans 8:18-23? Verse: Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and Luke 11:21-22 is often used to say that Christians are to pray and bind Satan or demons but they are wrong. What is the correct meaning of these verses? Verse: Philippians 2:6-7 is used by many false teaches to say that Jesus Christ came to earth as a man and later became God. This teaching is known as Kenotic Theology. What is the correct interpretation of Philippians 2:6-7? Topic: We take your calls including a caller from Arizona that want to know the correct meaning of Mark 10:27 that says that with God all things are possible.

Twisted Scriptures Twisted Theology (Program #2) Brannon explains how the following verses are taken out of context and explains the correct context. Verse: I Peter 3:18: Why this verse does not teach that Jesus spent three days in hell after his crucifixion. Verse: I Peter 3:19 does not teach that man is saved through water baptism. Verse: John 6:54 does not confirm the Catholic teaching of transubstantiation and has nothing to do with communion. Verse: Matthew 18:15-17 has nothing to do with the requirement to go to a public figure before talking about the unbiblical nature of their book or public comments. Verse: Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18 does not teach that Christians are to bind Satan or demons. Topic: We take your calls.

Mike Gendron joins Brannon to discuss how the Vatican is now offering time out of purgatory for those that follow the Pope on Twitter and follow the World Youth Day. Brannon and Mike reveal Biblical Scriptures that reveal the lie of purgatory. Will this latest silly stunt by the Vatican cause more Catholics to realize the scam that is the Catholic Church? Brannon opens up the phone lines for several former Catholics to call in with their testimonies. First Brannon covers the latest silly comments by Russell Moore stating that the Zimmerman trial teaches us that racial justice has not be achieved in America. Moore further states that whites and blacks view the trial differently. Brannon explains how he believes that Moore’s comments further reveal his liberalism. Brannon explains that for Moore to make the sweeping comment that blacks and whites all see the trial differently is really offensive as there are many blacks and whites that agree with the verdict as well as blacks and whites that disagree with the verdict. Furthermore, what does Moore mean by a lack of racial justice? Over the years America has seen the passage of the Civil Rights Act, the election of a black president, more than one black U.S. Supreme Court justice, numerous black governors, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, and Mayors of major American cities. We have seen a black male and female in recent years serve as the U.S. Secretary of State. We currently have a black U.S. Attorney General, which is the highest law enforcement job in the nation. We have also seen many Hispanics that have reached high office including Attorney General of the United States under George W. Bush. The Southern Baptist Convention has a black president at this time. Even in the south where racial tensions have been extremely exploited over the years by race-baiters; there are numerous blacks that have been elected to office even when white voters were the majority of voters in those elections. Brannon explains that he believes for Moore to stir the pot with these comments is extremely disappointing and reveals is liberalism or ignorance or both?

Justin Peters joins Brannon to talk about his month long speaking tour throughout the Northwest. Justin conducted four seminars and three of them went great but the fourth one; not so much. Justin reports how a church wanted him to present his three day seminar on false teachers and false teaching but on the final day some of the church leaders were upset at some of the false teachers or false teaching Justin was exposing and he was challenged from the platform for nearly 90 minutes. Sadly, Justin was challenged with emotional experiences and opinions not Scripture. Topic: One of the trends we are seeing within evangelicalism are pastors and church leaders that reject false teachers like Kenneth Copeland or Benny Hinn while publically embracing less blatant false teachers. Justin explains that the ultimate reason that much of evangelicalism is embracing false teaching is because they do not believe in the sufficiency of the Word of God. Topic: We take your calls.

Brannon’s guest is Dr. John Whitcomb for Ask Dr. John. Question: I have a friend who listens to "Christian" heavy metal music. I want to know if it is okay for us to be listening to this kind of music, because it so closely resembles the world. Question: Do you believe that human footprints and dinosaur tracks were found in same rock layers near the Paluxy River? Why do some creationists reject this evidence? Has it been tampered with?  Question: Please explain what is meant by church planting.  Question: Are children punished because of their parents’ sins? What about 2 Sam. 12? Question: Is Satan able to put thoughts into a believer’s mind? Question: Are guardian angels assigned to all believers, or only to children (Matt. 18:10)? Question: What do you believe to be the most interesting geopolitical events occurring now that may be setting the stage for Bible prophecy? Question: What types of ministries should I invest my financial giving in? Question: In your view, what is the status currently of the modern Biblical creationism movement? What are the biggest challenges it faces? Question:  A nationally-known Bible teacher that I respect was part of an event that involved others that I believe to be false teachers. How concerned should I be about this?

On today'’s program Brannon plays three audio clips that were not even 24 hours old and were from the Sunday night church service at Grace Community Church were Dr. John MacArthur is the teaching pastor. Phil Johnson, for the second week, was asking MacArthur questions about his book Strange Fire that will be released in October of 2013. In this program the focus is on the providence of God versus signs and wonders. Today many people confuse God’s providence with a miracle or what some call signs and wonders. The ability to perform signs and wonders was given to the Apostles to validate their message and the foundational doctrine of the church they were laying down. God does not give the ability of signs and wonders to anyone today but He certainly would not give this ability to false apostles for many reasons but one reason is that God would never validate the message of false apostles. Topic: Rodney Howard Browne seems to have taken it personal that many of us are writing and speaking against his false teaching. Browne has written that the Word of Faith movement must be true because it has around 800 million followers. What does the Bible say about this claim by Browne? Topic: We take your calls.

Mark Crutcher pointed to the fact that if the oppostion believe that abortion should be legal so that it can be regulated and done by medical professionals in a clean, safe environment, why is there vicious opposition to a bill that calls for that exact thing?

Part Two: Why the Mother of Harlots? On today’s program Brannon further explains the names that are used even today among false religions to identify Semiramis and Nimrod. Many of the symbols of the occult Babylonian religion that started at the Tower of Babel, that will unit in Rome under the Mother of Harlots, are often in plain sight if only people knew at what they were looking. For instance, the Statue of Liberty is Semiramis and this is even documented by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society on their website when describing the Air Force Medal of Honor. Other names for Semiramis include, the Queen of Heaven, Queen of Babylon, Asherah, Mother Earth, Mother Nature, and Gaia the feminist deity. The Statute of Liberty was designed by Freemasons from France and given to America. What do New Agers say is the meaning of the seven rays coming out of the head of the Statue of Liberty? What is meant by liberty according to freemasons and those involved in the French revolution and why is their type of liberty completely unbiblical?

 Brannon Howse: Aired July 10, 2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:32

Why the Mother of Harlots? Revelation 17 describes all the false religions of the world uniting under the Mother of Harlots but why is she called the mother of harlots? Where were her children birthed? In this fast paced program Brannon begins with Revelation 17 and then takes you to Genesis 11 and the Tower of Babel which is the birth place of many of the world’s false religions that share the common worship of the mother/son cult of Semiramus and Tammuz. Brannon explains the mother/son cult that was birthed at the Tower of Babel and reveals how the “queen of heaven”, birthed at the Tower of Babel, was eventually worshiped by the rebellious children of Israel in Jeremiah 7:16-18 and Jeremiah 44:15-19. In fact, in Jeremiah 44:15-19, the women of Israel were leading this rebellion in what can be described as feminist driven mysticism. Much of today’s false religions involved the worship of a feminine deity such as Mary, Gaia, or Mother Earth. Brannon reveals how all these false religions are indeed uniting now to build the harlot church.

Mike Gendron joins Brannon to discuss how the American Family Association issued an apology to their catholic readers in their July/August 2013 AFA Journal? Why were they apologizing and why did AFA say they were grateful for the Catholic Church? Mike explains why he believes the statement by AFA goes against their own mission statement. Mike further explains how the gospel is compromised when pro-family and evangelical groups embrace political correctness and ecumenicalism. Topic: First Brannon reads an encouraging e-mail from a pastor that has taken a stand when it comes to not allowing church members or deacons to be Masons. Topic: We take your calls.
