 So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 36 - The Green Hornet/Batman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:35

Something happened on tonight's podcast, and without the help of alcohol, Justin and Krissy just got totally silly and WEIRD. J blames it on the coffee, while K blames it on her ADD. Crazy analogies and metaphors ensue, including but not limited to Barbra Streisand as an octopus (?), Seth Rogen's poor-by-comparison turn as an amorphous paraplegic sea creature (??), an imagined conversation between Jay Chou and Rooster Cogburn, and ZOMBIE SELENA!! Much like the former of these two movies, not much makes sense (but we have fun anyway). This podcast is rated PG-13!

 So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 35 - True Grit (2010) and The Big Lebowski | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:20

True Grit/The Big Lebowski - A Coen Bros. double feature with two memorable performances from Jeff Bridges! Neither movie had Krissy seen before but only one would claim her heart in the end! The PG-13 podcast includes discussion about grits, a "plethora" of accents, crying about horses, Aspergers cowboys, Oscars, Roger Ebert, The Dude, L.A. in film and more!

 So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 32 - The Fighter/Black Swan | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 64:34

NEW MOVIE ALERT! Who suffered for their art most this year in film? Natalie Portman as a sexually repressed, bullimic ballerina? Or Christian Bale as a crack-smoking, ex-boxing convict? Or BOTH? In an effort to make a dent in our ginormous pile of awards screeners, we watch both The Fighter and Black Swan! The discussion that follows includes much ado about Mark Wahlberg, Bale, Amy Adams, Melissa Leo and the 7 sisters! Plus, we expound upon the unraveling of Nina Sayers (figuratively and literally), awkward masturbation scenes, ballerinas making out, METAPHORS!!!!, Vincent Cassel's head, Winona Ryder going crazy and MORE. This episode is rated PG-13!

 So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 31 - Die Hard | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:56

DIE HARD! DIE HARDER!! DIE HARDEST!!!!!! Yup. J and K take a trip to Nakatomi Plaza (Origami Tower?) and watch and discuss the "heart-stopping" (palpitation-y?) movie starring Bruce Willis, the mom from Parenthood, and Snape from Harry Potter. Nothing's too off-topic for our daring duo, not even discussions about hypothetical terrorism at My Gym, the structural soundness of an actual Origami Tower, and the magic of car phones! This podcast is rated PG-13, once again, for liberal use of the word 'douchebag.'

 So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 30 - Mixed Nuts/Roxanne | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:20

On this week's 'So I Married a Movie Geek,' J and K hit a bittersweet note: mourning a loss in the family, they cheer up by watching a Steve Martin double feature: Mixed Nuts and Roxanne. Krissy's all about the cast, characters and farcical nature of Mixed Nuts (especially when it comes to hiding dead bodies as Christmas trees), but Justin's really just about loving Madeline Kahn Liev Schreiber's scarf dancing and Roooooxxxaaanne, in general. Also discussed: Steve Martin's love for art and the Y, the pros/cons of poor people getting rhinoplasty, a brief foray into Avatar/Titanic and why The Police should've included 'Roxanne' in Roxanne. Rated PG-13 for Krissy's unnecessary use of the words crap and douchebag (sorry, Mamaw).
