The Context of White Supremacy acknowledges our eight year anniversary with the return of Dr. Kamau Kambon. A North Carolina resident, educator, husband, father and author, Dr. Kambon maintains that black people must grasp that war is being waged against us. These sort of infrastructure catastrophies could become more common if Whites are unwilling to invest in public resources for an increasingly non-white population. The fear of White Genetic Annihilation may have also inspired Benjamin McDowell, a Race Solider who allegedly hoped to "launch an attack 'in the spirit of Dylann Roof.'" Under arrest and facing felony gun chargers, McDowell shared Roof's anger that more Whites aren't actively fighting for the White Race. The family of Henrietta Lacks, a black female who died from cervical cancer more than a half century ago, began a legal fight to secure compensation from John Hopkins University in Maryland. White doctors stole cancer cells from Lacks' body without her consent. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 4th study session on Vincent Woodard's The Delectable Negro: Human Consumption and Homoeroticism within US Slave Culture. Mr. Woodard died in 2008, but this book was posthumously published in 2014. NYU Press explains the why this book was written; "Scholars of US and transatlantic slavery have largely ignored or dismissed accusations that Black Americans were cannibalized." Woodard excavates primary sources, like the writings of Olaudah Equiano and Frederick Douglass, as well as black newspapers and slave advertisements from the antebellum period. Last week's session explored how an enslaved black male was literally quartered by his master as a form of discipline. Woodard also described multiple incidents where White sailors admitted to acts of cannibalism against black shipmates. Woodard stresses the White sense of shame about these events being publicized as well as the private White fraternity forged by the common experience of plundering and consuming black people. Keith Beauchamp returns to The Context of White Supremacy. Maker of the 2005 documentary The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till, Beauchamp's research into Till's 1955 lynching sparked the Department of Justice to re-open their investigation into the killing. Mr. Beauchamp worked with Till's mother, Mamie Till Mobley, for eight and a half years. We'll get Mr. Beauchamp's perspective on Timothy B. Tyson's new book on this subject, The Blood of Emmett Till. Tyson's primary talking point is his 2008 exclusive interview with Carolyn Bryant Donham, the White Woman who falsely accused Till of sexually accosting her. Ms. Donham admitted to Tyson that she lied. The week wasn't a total loss for the Trump administration, as Betsy DeVos and Jeff Sessions were each confirmed as Secretary of Education and Attorney General respectively. Both nominees faced fierce - and, ultimately, impotent - opposition to their appointments. One of the more vocal critics of federal bureaucrats, Nevade rancher Cliven Bundy's trial is set to commence for his 2014 armed showdown with government officials. Some observers predict "White nationalists" will be emboldened if the Bundy patriarch is not convicted for his militant defiance of federal authority. Showing the opposite end of police tactics, French officers are accused of anally raping a black male. Al Jazeera reports the "police investigation concluded that the anal rape of a young black man by an officer using a truncheon was an accident." This broader understanding of seasoning is important, as it helps explain how institutional processes, such as Christian indoctrination, male fraternal love and bonding, and the acquisition of literacy facilitated the social consumption of the Negro and the creation of a high cultural premium upon African flesh." Author of The Isis Papers and founder of the Cress-Welsing Institute of Psychiatry and Social Research, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing visited The C.O.W.S. for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 2012 holiday. The subject of her visit was the cycle of White predators hunting and consuming black people. We examined the cases of Jeffrey Dahmer and Jerry Sandusky. Dahmer was convicted of butchering, sexually exploiting, and eating the melanated bodies of his Wisconsin victims. Sandusky was convicted of raping an untold number of children over a number of years; there's suspicion that Sandusky specifically violated black children. The new president revealed his affinity for dark people by moving forward with a ban "halting all refugee programs and immigration from certain Muslim nations." Large numbers of Whites have railed against this measure - which could be a deliberate act to confuse non-white people. In Canada, Alexandre Bissonnette, a Suspected White Terrorist, initiated a Dylann-Roof-like attack on a Muslim mosque. He's accused of shooting at a crowd of approximately 50 people, killing six. Many pundits posit that anti-muslim, racist rhetoric inspires these slaughters. Speaking of Race Soldiers, convicted serial rapist Daniel Holtzclaw filed an appeal in Oklahoma. Some black Washingtonians insist they're "glad" the first black president vacated the White House - just to end eight years of racist monkey images of Barack and Michelle Obama. Speaking of anti-blackness, a Canadian district school trustee, Nancy Elgie, admits to calling a black parent a nigger. Parents and outraged Canadians have asked for her resignation; thus far, Elgie has not stepped down. She stated she's agreeable to some form of sensitivity training. Maintaining the global theme of Whites not being reprimanded for the abuse and murder of black people, the Los Angeles Police officers who killed Ezell Ford in 2014 will not be charged. The impotent investigation lasted more than eighteen months. Hip-hop mogul Jay Z addresses the plague of police terrorism with his new documentary series on the tragic life and death of Kalief Browder. After being jailed for three years without ever being convicted of a crime, Browder committed suicide in 2015.
